Yes. You will definitely get a big improvement. Its like adding a sub-woofer to a pair of bookshelf speakers. On the Audeze you can hear (or feel) 10hz but without the full body vibration of big speakers.

Yes, they sound "dark" compared to other high-end headphones with fake treble emphasis that gives greater detail retrieval, but its a good thing for studio use and owning different sound signatures is one of the best things about headphones. :)

This only have to do with the mastering and your speakers/headphones.
