$150-ish portable headphones - NO AMP!

Looking for portable headphones arouns 150 bucks. Will not use a portable amp.   I currently have a pair of Shure SE530 which Im going to sell. They hurt my ears. I like their sound, though something more fun/aggressive/in your face would be nice, without loosing detail in songs.   TIA!

    NEW SHURE!?!???

Im lucky to have seen this, as I have (I hope) just in time canceled an order on some SE530. Ill wait to see what is going to be released. Even if it is too expensive, it SHOULD lower the SE530 costs...maybe at least! !

Why so much fuss about IEMs?

Someone could give this closure. How much does a closed headphone of similar quality to the top IEMs cost?

BTW, this review says the A900 beat the HD595 which Im quite fond of due to its supposed good SQ, build quality and comfort. Good Gear Guide - Sennheiser HD595 - Reviews - Hardware - Headphones - HiFi Headphones Ive also heard the DT770 2005 are better, but not sure really.

I would go with Grado but...they are not that comfortable fwir. Besides, I also listen to jazz and acoustic guitar music like flamenco for instance, and I hear the grados are not great at that.

Finally, after much afterthought, I think Im going for the HD595! I know they arent exactly portable, but come to really think of it, now that Im going to buy a car (in the near future I hope), most of my portable headphone time is done for. What do you think? I also saw the A900 coul be a good...
