at one point i lost the 1212 cable to connect to the daughtercard. i tried to use the floppy cable, seeing as it was the same size with the same pins. the emu didn't make any sound, and i ransacked my room until i found the real cable.

the singlepower amps really bring the best features of the CD3K to life. Mikhail can voice the amp to whatever cans you choose too, which is very, very nice. I've had a PPX3 and an MPX3, and the synergy between both amps and the sonys is just incredible. so fast, so detailed, such presence.

i just picked up a pair of M3ti's and will be running them off of a panny xr25 thru my 1212m (dorm room bumpage). I'm pretty sure i'll use an ebay glass optical from source to amp, but i don't really know anything about speaker cable. the jacks on the back of these things look a litte bit weird...

if you mainly listen to rock i strongly recommend alessandro/grado products. if you plan on branching out into different genres, you might want a more rounded can. for someone like my dad who is old and has a set music genre (sabbath, springsteen) the grados are just what he needed.

that stand comes with the 010. can prolly buy them seperately for way too much money
