Yulong d100 II vs GF Tube DAC-11 vs Audio-GD NFB 10.2 vs Schiit bifrost

I'm in the same boat, about to pull the trigger on the yulong d100 but wanted to get some feedback on what the other options were.

    The Anti Grado?

Would a compass be powerful enough to drive either the HD600 or HD650.

    The Anti Grado?

Is there much of a difference between the HD650s and HD600

I'm also thinking of getting the compass, is that enough to power the HD650s?

    The Anti Grado?

Currently I have the Grado SR225 and the Shure SE530. I was wondering what the full sized anti grado headphone would be? When I say, anti grado, I mean a sound signature that would be opposite of the grado's sound. Something bassy, laid back, and good soundstaging. Everything that the grado...

New hybrid amp by Little Dot, I+

So if the midrange is so lacking on the Pro 750s, wouldn't you therefore want a very tubey sound to bring the mids out? Like a Darkvoice 332 or something? I imagine the accuracy and "shrill" nature of SS amps would just exacerbate the Pro750s sound signature.

Amp reccomendations for HD-650 AND Grado RS-1?

From what I understand (since I never had the chance to hear a Woo amp) Woo Audio makes some very fine tube amps. But be aware that strictly speaking generally, tubes are recommended for high ohm phones like the HD650s while solid state amps like the Gilmore Lite or Little Dot MKV are...

    Newbie Advice

Oh hell, I might as well say it since someone else will eventually. But you should check out the ever popular Zero DAC/amp (there is a thread in the amp section that is over 200+ pages on it). As for headphones, the Grado SR225s if you really want a rocking can, or the Denon D2000s if you...

Headphones with the most bass impact/SLAM, ~$250 +-$50

X2 on the ultrasones. They are exactly what you're looking for. They have the PRAT and speed of the Grados, while also having slamming bass. Check out the Pro750s or Pro950s if you have the extra dough.

OMG! I'm going nuts, this sounds like such an awesome amp. Or perhaps I just want this little amp to because of its little price... Either way, I'm jealous.

I'm in need of some guidance: Home Can Help

The Denon's appear to be a very versatile set of cans, especially after the Markl mods. Be aware that without the mods, some consider the bass slightly boomy and uncontrolled. But otherwise, they're comfortable and very musical. The Audio Technica's may be better for gaming/movies. They are...

    Headphone advice..

For electronic music, the Denon D1000s are better for sure. From what I've read, they have better bass, are very comfortable, and at their price, are a steal. But if you're willing to buy used and stretch your budget. The Denon D2000s would be a worthwhile upgrade.

I used to wear my dad's vintage Rolex. Don't remember what model or anything. I'm pretty sure it was from the 40's or something, but it's sadly now in the safety deposit box... Dorms are the least secure place on earth.

SR225s if you like fast and punchy bass. D2000s if you want more quantity in bass. Pro 750s if you want a little of both. (The Grado's PRAT and the Denon's lower bass extension.)

X2 on the IEM recommendation. Not only do they isolate better than full sized closed cans like the HD280 pro but they are also smaller and easier to pack, which for me, is a huge plus. And if your budget permits, many people around here like the Sleek Audio SA6 for their modular design and bang...
