    Schiit Loki Max Impressions

I've had my Loki Max for 2 weeks now. My setup chain is Chord Qutest->Loki Max->Mjolinar3->(Meze Elites or Vidar2->Klipsch R-5800 + REL T/5x). I use Roon to stream, most music sitting on a Synology NAS. I can sum up the Loki Max in one word "fun". It is very helpful in correcting recordings...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

At least change your socks man! No wonder there is only one set of feet in the picture.

    Schiit Loki Max Impressions

I never did pull the trigger on getting the Lokius, but now I'm strongly considering the Loki Max. The only thing that is stopping me is where I can fit it in my home office. My space is limited to a Loki Max sitting directly underneath the Mjolnir-3 (see pic below). On the Loki Max FAQ Jason...

Gotcha. Let me ask then, the Loki Max says on the FAQ page "It’s balanced and differential in and out, uses both phases in, and provides both differential phases out. All stages are fully discrete, from the input summers to load-invariant superbuffers to the current-feedback processing stage to...

Amos - Are you suggesting wiring your DAC two times to the MJ3 both directly (DAC->MJ3) and via the Lokius (DAC->Lokius->MJ3)? Doesn't the Lokius come with a bypass switch, taking it out of the music loop? Curious as to why you'd want to do it this way. Not challenging here, just curious.

I strongly believe you'll be very happy with it, possibly even exceeding your great expectations. I've had mine for 3 months now and it just gets better and better. I can't see anything else taking its place in my home office, especially at this price point or even double its price. Your...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I originally posted this on the Loki Max thread a few days ago, but not sure if @Jason Stoddard monitors that thread. So sorry for the repost here but... @Jason Stoddard question for you if you please. I'm a very happy owner of a Mjolnir-3 and a Vidar-2. I am considering adding a Lokius to my...

    Schiit Loki Max Impressions

@Jason Stoddard question for you if you please. I'm a very happy owner of a Mjolnir-3 and a Vidar-2. I am considering adding a Lokius to my stack. In your FAQ for the Lokius you write "Lokius is an inductor-capacitor equalizer. Meaning it uses inductors. Inductors are coils of wire. Think of...

    Schiit Loki Max Impressions

Finally went and read the 'review'. Turns out it isn't a review but a recognition to a previous review (from June '23) which was very positive and guessing old new on this Loki thread.

    Schiit Loki Max Impressions

Absolute Sound Loki Max Haven't read the review yet, but thought I'd share it while it's fresh. My initial thought having subscribed to Absolute Sound for years is 'they're reviewing Schiit? Don't they know Schiit doesn't make anything over $2K?' :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Second...

Schiit Mjolnir 3 - Impressions Thread

I use the MJ3 as both my headphone amp and as a preamp into a Vidar2 feeding a pair of small Klipsch in-wall speakers (plus a REL sub). I find it works just fine, but need to remove the headphones from the MJ3 otherwise they're always on. The MJ3 as my preamp is a sonic improvement over its...

Schiit Mjolnir 3 - Impressions Thread

Question(s) for the group. I've had my Mjolnir-3 now for about 6 weeks. I love how it has elevated my system, better mids, greater separation of instruments, more snap in the bass, etc. I could go on and on about the MJ3's sound. I'm writing though because I'm really not hearing any...

Schiit Mjolnir 3 - Impressions Thread

I've been using eh MJ3 for over a month now (absolutely love it). I have it in a deep book shelf, closed back and only 6" high of clearance before the shelf above it. I added four small rubber feet that lift is 5/8" higher to give the bottom room to move any heat. I don't find the MJ3 hot at...

Nice setup. If you don't mind me asking where did you get the headphone stands? In particular those black ones in the back of your desk and the silver one next to your tube collection.

Schiit Mjolnir 3 - Impressions Thread

A further update of my now 72 hour old MJ3. It really is an amazing amp. My concerns over the tight volume control are million times outweighed by the sound of this amplifier. Combined with the Chord Qutest, Vidar2, REL TX5, Meze Elites and Klipsch in wall speakers has moved my home office...

Schiit Mjolnir 3 - Impressions Thread

Update: I adjusted the output on the Qutest from 2V RMS to 1V RMS. I now find that about 11:00 on the MJ3 is equivalent to 9:00 when using 2V output from Qutest. Not surprising. Question now is whether the Qutest is just as good at 1V vs its default of 2V??

Schiit Mjolnir 3 - Impressions Thread

My MJ3 just arrived today (ordered mid-October). It's been on for just about an hour. The MJ3 & Chord Qutest are replacing a Mytek Brooklyn DAC. I've been running the Qutest into the Brooklyn now for a couple of months and noticed a definite step up from Brooklyn's onboard DAC. Better...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Schiit is not alone in fanatical support. As a member of the PS Audio Forums (yes I own some too), I laugh at the fanatical support of anything they put out. Although they do have a lot of good (albeit expensive) stuff, the PSA Heads drink the Koolaide and cry accolades from the mountaintops...

    New Member Introductions thread

Hi. I've been watching this site for a long time. Have come here often to read reviews from your membership. I bought my first audio gear over 55 years ago when I saved my quarters from my paper route to purchase a Sears inexpensive 45s only turntable with speakers. From there it all took...
