Old HiFiMan Sundara headphones worth investing in?

While we're here, if these are going to stay, I'd love a quality cable recommendation that is less than $50.

Old HiFiMan Sundara headphones worth investing in?

I have a set of these that I bought many years ago, before they made whatever change they made. They're basically still new and I am finally at a place where I can use them regularly. I was researching them to replace the cable, and I noticed everyone saying the old ones aren't as good as the...

20' cable for my new HiFiMan Sundara headphones. Suggestions?

That is correct. I currently have a headphone extension. That's cool with me. I was just wondering if I'm degrading the sound or something.

20' cable for my new HiFiMan Sundara headphones. Suggestions?

I would really love to get a cable for late night sessions that will run from my stereo to my couch with ease. 20' would do it. Are there any QUALITY cables on the market that won't subtract from the awesomeness of these headphones? I am not interested in making my own.

Does a vintage receiver cut it as a headphone amplifier?

I did a big shoot out with all my stereo receivers. I preferred the Pioneer SX-850 and then the NAD C 740. The Marantz just sucked. I was disappointed. I have more money in the rebuild of this amplifier and I think it looks awesome. It's definitely not going to be used for this application.  ...

Does a vintage receiver cut it as a headphone amplifier?

Ahh. Yes, please post your opinions. I'd be interested in hearing which amplifier you think sounds best with your new headphones.

Does a vintage receiver cut it as a headphone amplifier?

So what would you guys recommend for these headphones? It would have to be a definitely jump up in quality from my receivers and I'd like it to also be versatile enough to be used when I upgrade. My budget is no more than $300.

Does a vintage receiver cut it as a headphone amplifier?

I have a pair of AKG K601's and I've read here that they are hard to drive. I have two restored vintage receivers (Marantz 2250B and Pioneer SX-850) and a modern NAD C 740 receiver. The headphones sound incredible on all three receivers, but I'm wondering if I'm missing something. Would it be...

    ATH-ES7 vs. ATH-SQ5

They'd both be unamped, too. Coming out of an iPod or a portable CD player.

    ATH-ES7 vs. ATH-SQ5

These are probably the two coolest looking headphones on the market, IMO. I've read so much about the ES7 and am thinking of buying a pair, but I'd like to know more about the SQ5 since they're a little cheaper, and a little sweeter looking. Has anyone heard both pairs? Also interested in a...

    Sennheiser HD 530 II

Do you guys know anything about these headphones? I picked up a pair with a bad cable. Ordered a 650 cable from Sennheiser's website, so I should be listening to them soon. They're pretty ugly, and the adjustable band is poorly designed. I don't expect them to be wonderful, but they looked...

Narrowing it down. Need something smaller.

I think my obsession is dying. Right now I have it narrowed down to Sennheiser HD 580's paired with a JMT Pimeta amp. This modest combo sounds great to me, but I've even gotten rid of my portable stuff. I kind of want just ONE pair of headphones. Something that sounds really great when I'm...

Headphones with the PX100's exact sound

I use my PX100's for my portable setup and HD580's in my bedroom. I think HD 580's would be your best bet. There's nothing cheaper that sounds half as good.

    Coffee Storage

Coffee should be kept in a dry, opaque, room temperature airtight container. That is all. It WILL go stale. No matter what you do. So keep it whole bean and grind before you brew. Coffee is past its prime about a month after it's roasted. Nick Robertson Professional Barista Trainer and...

    your most "used " album

I've worn out a couple CD's. When I was younger it was Switchfoot's first album, Legend Of Chin. I still like it... In high school it was Jimmy Eat World- Clarity. I still love it. Now it's probably going to be my Tom Petty Anthology. I can't get enough of it. I've also worn out a few...

    Man we are spoiled ;)

It's great! I love wasting money! hahahaha! I don't feel guilty when I see someone using stock iBuds. I feel guilty when I hear about people starving to death. Or families that can't afford groceries. For me it's an unhealthy addiction. Maybe even a disease. I'm done with Head-Fi. Well...

I just bought SR-80s, what tips should I know?

I like the bowls, but the tops of my ears started hurting from touching the grills. I got the HD 414 pads out, quarter modded them, reversed them, then dyed them black. They're much more comfortable for me now. I think if the bowls feel good on your head, you should keep them. It makes the...

Smart use of a 4 GB Nano iPod.

So I should just use the 320 option in iTunes? How much worse is that than lossless? Would some say that it's not noticeable?
