I have a set of these that I bought many years ago, before they made whatever change they made. They're basically still new and I am finally at a place where I can use them regularly. I was researching them to replace the cable, and I noticed everyone saying the old ones aren't as good as the updated version.

Should I sell these off and replace them with something else? I think they sound great, but I'm always into the idea of an upgrade!

What changes did they make, exactly?

Is the change inaudible and I should just shut up, replace the cable and enjoy them?

As far as I’m aware the only confirmed change from HiFiman was the pads, and as for the cable I changed out for this one with a 90degree Jack , I see it’s went up in price by £5. The only reason I changed the cable was for comfort/suppleness in use, I’m not a believer in cable voodoo.
