I have backup (complete set) for my WA7 and WA2. Naturally, if had gone SS would not need these. However, my 800 and 800S sound so good with the WA2 it makes more sense to purchase backups than trying to replace the Woos with SS amp.

FWIW..I ended up with the Woo WA2 and HD800S.

Never had any issues with my stock HD800 and HD800S cables.

My 8950 is on order, not sure when it will actually arrive. Hopefully in August/September time frame. Not selling my 6600 and D100 until it arrives.

The D100 is a preamp (Digital only) CD transport and Flac from Mac are feeding it. The WA2 with the HD800S is fantastic. End game for me on the headphone front. Will be interesting if the new DAC (DA2) in the MA8950 make much of a difference.

Presently feeding my HD800 and HD800s with the following McIntosh D100---> Woo WA2 Sounds fantastic, at least to me. Replacing the D100 with a new Integrated (McIntosh MA8950 w/DA2) as I want to consolidate the number of boxes I have and eliminate interconnects as well.

Actually, the current price is $8K . I have heard the design issues have been fixed, however does not matter to me as I changed my order to the new MA8950 integrated. Like the idea of the ability to upgrade from the DA2 module if so desired in the future + a 1 box solution. Will sell my D100...

First time I heard HD800 in my system. Loved 'em so much, elected to add an HD800S as well.

Cool....contingency plan is a C53 if they decide the do not want to build anymore D1100.

Not in stock - quoted 60 to 90 days from McIntosh, confirmed by local authorized dealer. Accepted my order.

Love my HD800 so much elected to add theHD800S. Not getting any younger and being retired want to make sure I am covered on the audio front as I fade into obscurity.

Oh well, if that's the case guess I will have to spend a bit more for the Ayre QX5 Twenty or perhaps the McIntosh C53 (although) I do not need its' analoge inputs. Any idea what replaces the D1100? Update: McIntosh confirms it is not discontinued and available for order.
