    Introducing HIFIMAN Ananda Nano

I think a lot depends on the music genre and preferences. I also had the opportunity to compare Arya Stealth with Ananda Nano for a few weeks. I chose the Ananda Nano because of its speed, high-band detail and a soundstage that is more deep than wide. I hear rock and metal from ifi Gryphon and...

    Introducing HIFIMAN Ananda Nano

In my opinion, it all depends on what music you listen to. For classical music and jazz, I would choose Arya Stealth, while for rock, metal and genres where many instruments play at the same time, I prefer Ananda Nano.

    Introducing HIFIMAN Ananda Nano

Nanos definitely. They have a more open top end with more detail, which may be tiring for people who are sensitive to it, but are OK for me.

    Introducing HIFIMAN Ananda Nano

In my opinion, the Arya Stealth sound is "flatter" and neutral throughout the frequency response, and the Ananda Nano sounds more detailed in the low bass and high treble. Arya Stealth reproduces more micro-details in the mids, but it is also a bit darker than in the Nano. The subbass in the...

xDSD Gryphon: birth of a ‘head-fi’ legend

I guess that's not exactly how it works. Unfortunately, when I follow these instructions, but turn the Gryphon off for the night (without disconnecting the USB-C cable) and turn it on in the morning, the Gryphon is charged again for some time. Keeping the battery at such a high level for a long...

IMHO Parametric EQ in USB Audio Player Pro is the best option.

What do you mean about 'SOFT power off'? Switching off the device by holding the knob for 2 sec? This is how I turn off Gryphon and I didn't notice a problem with discharging. I can charge the Gryphon, leave it for 2 weeks and after turning it on, it has the same battery status. I think you...

xDSD Gryphon: birth of a ‘head-fi’ legend

I bought Gryphon from the official distributor in pre-sale. The box hasn't been opened before and the front screws are discolored. The back ones are ok. Perhaps the pre-sale units have been improved or additionally tested in some way? I don't know. I didn't notice any problems with my device.

You can still turn on MIN FILTER with the instruction below. It runs on the latest firmware. Enjoy!

xDSD Gryphon: birth of a ‘head-fi’ legend

@Sebastien Chiu , for my part, I would like to suggest adding the LDAC option fixed mode in 990kbps 44.1kHz 16-bit, so that you can listen to audio CD tracks "losslessly". (*) An even better option would be if Gryphon remembered the last bluetooth setup and connects to Android with the same...

xDSD Gryphon: birth of a ‘head-fi’ legend

I think this feature is still not implemented in xDSD Gryphon. @Sebastien Chiu , can you confirm it? +1 for adding a flashing lightning bolt when Gryphon is in 'desktop mode' (max 70%)

Yes, we can toggle MIN, GTO, BP, STD filters at any time. For me, the effect of the selected filter is audible in every case (I mainly listen to progressive rock, metal, metalcore).

xDSD Gryphon: birth of a ‘head-fi’ legend

I don't want to upsampling to 96k 24-bit when listening to Audio CD 44.1k 16-bit tracks. At the moment I have to enter the Android development options after every Gryphon connection and manually set 44.1kHz 16-bit. Therefore, I would like Gryphon to have the option of remembering the last...

Agree, adding these three features would be great. For my part, I would like to suggest adding the LDAC locking option in 990kbps 44.1kHz 16-bit mode, so that you can listen to audio CD tracks losslessly. An even better option would be if Gryphon remembered the last bluetooth setup and connects...

In my opinion, the S-balanced integrated circuit had to be changed compared to the old xDSD ... Previously, iFi declared the same output power for Balanced and Unbalanced, now the output power for balanced devices is much higher, similar to devices from other manufacturers.

xDSD Gryphon: birth of a ‘head-fi’ legend

xDSD Gryphon has less output power than the older xDSD when used with unbalanced headphones. Is it true @iFi audio ? older xDSD xDSD Gryphon >48 mW @ 300 Ohm >40mW @ 300Ω 3.8V max. @ 600Ω 3.5V max. @ 600Ω I'm based on the user manuals downloaded from the iFi website.

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

@iFi audio is audio quality limited while charging the device while listening? I have the impression that on the AKG K7XX the sound is less vivid and dynamic when I listen to music and charge xDSD simultaneously. This happens both when charging from a good-quality powerbank and a powerful wall...
