    Apple Airpods Max

Looks like reviews are out 4 this one already...All of them (besides Brownlee's) just look like shill reviews, but I think that's typical for early apple product reviews.

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

Question about the XM3 charging...I know that you get 5 hours of playback after 10 minutes charging. Is the quick charge linear? In other words, 2 min = 1 hour, 4 minute = 2 hours, etc.?

    Apple Airpods Max

I (like many others) was shocked when I saw the price. It's going to be hard for them to compete with a headphone of the caliber of the Sony XM3 or XM4. With that said, I'm willing to give them a fair shot. Just don't know how long it'll be before we're in a post-COVID world again where you can...

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

Question...I also have the WF, and with that, I can switch between different devices. I still have to select the earbuds on my device, but I don't need to manually disconnect from the initial device. For some reason, I cannot do that with the WH - If I don't manually disconnect first, it won't...

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones

Fair enough...My only problem with tips for these, is that if I'm gonna have to buy 2-3 sets of different kinds of these to see which are best, I might as well just use that money to buy Airpod Pro's. Thankfully, the brutal summer here is slowly coming to an end, so I'll be able to use my WH's a...

Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions

I currently own the Sony WF1000-XM3's (along with the WH1000-XM3) - I'm thinking about getting some APP's, just waiting for the price to drop, and to get a deal! I heard that the comfort is great for these, but also that some people experience cabin pressure with them... Any input would be...

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones

I have to say, I really oscillate with these. Sounds is fine, and NC is pretty good (although a great deal of the NC, I assume, comes passively). When I first got them, I wasn't happy with the fit/comfort. Some days, the comfort is fine, and other days, not so much. I haven't tried the airpod...

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones

I actually bought my pair for $40, and yeah they were/are authentic. The seller marked them as 'used,' but they just looked like an "open box" when I got them, and everything looked almost new (all the packaging/inserts included perfectly).

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

Interesting...So, had these for almost a year. Tried the 360 audio thing (took pics of my ears, etc.), and got a free Tidal subscription. Absolutely not a fan...These headphones already have a very good soundstage. I thought the 360 audio/Tidal thing was kinda gimmicky, and believe it or not...

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones

So, I finally bought these after having (and loving) the over ear XM3's for almost 10 months now - just waiting a few days on delivery. Airpod pros were a consideration (even though I haven't tried them either) because I've heard great things about them, but that Apple cost was/is just too much...

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

Man, I really wish I had a 4.1.1 right next to me, so that I could do a direct comparison with 4.2.2 - ANC might be better, but it's just hard to determine without hearing the other one.

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

I'm surprised no one is talking about the 4.2.2 update...I had 4.1.1 - Obviously, a lot of ppl on here were talking about how they noticed a drop off in NC from 2.0.0 to 4.1.1 - There may have been for me, but I didn't really notice. Anyways, going to 4.2.2, I notice that music is a little...

Don't think I'd call these "hifi" though.

    Airpods pro

Interesting - I've def. heard that these are decent. Still...It's hard to stomach spending almost $300 on some AirPods.

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

So, one of the few annoyances that I have with these headphones...When I first turn it on, and it automatically connects to my phone, the sound I hear is really loud (sometimes it can be jarring). Even if I set the volume at zero on my phone (before playing any sound), if I move it just a...

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

Is there a way to disconnect from the current Bluetooth connection, without doing so from the device? It happens too often when I'm just waking up and turn these on to use with my phone next to me, and they end up connecting to my closed laptop across the room. I dont like having to get up, walk...

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones

Will owning the over ear Sony WH-1000XM3's give me any kind of reference as to how these sound? Or, is the sound completely different?

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones

I own (and love) the WH-1000XM3's. Is there anyway to try these before buying them? I understand very well the hygienic concerns of letting multiple people try on / demo "in ears", but dont feel like shelling out the cash unless I know I'll like them.

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

Question...I'm going on vacation to Orlando in a couple days. I'm sure these aren't "water-proof," so I'm wondering if there's any risk of water from the high humidity climate damaging the electronics?

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

So, I just went to my local Best Buy to try the new Bose NC 700 headphones (they should all have demo models avail. now). I was NOT impressed at all. It just basically sounds like the QC35II's...Biggest issue is the clamping pressure. Very uncomfortable for me. The NC might be a little better...

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

Hmmm...surprised no one has mentioned the new Bose Noise Cancelling headphones (Bose 700). I will, of course, give them a fair try, but the fact that the two reviews on youtube haven't even mentioned sound quality is a huge red flag, and points to them just trying to highlight the positives...

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

Yeah, there's no doubt the more I use these and have to do the "disconnect", "connect" thing, the more annoying it gets. At first, I looked at it as a small inconvenience in exchange for a vastly superior product (vs the Bose), but people switch frequently between their phones and laptops, so...

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

So, I've had these for a while, and I'm kinda feeling like the ANC is getting worse on these...For reference, I have a Bose QC35 to compare it to. I feel like when I first got these, the Sony's blew away the Bose with regard to ANC. Now, it's kinda similar with maybe the Sony's beating them out...

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

So, I was in a Microsoft Store yesterday. I will first of all say that my Sony headphones are amazing, and there is no doubt they were worth every penny I spent on them. With that said, sometimes the noise cancelling feels like it's amazing and otherworldly...and other times, it seems just Ok...

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

I was having the same thing, and was even getting creaking when I was walking outside with them (posted about it on this thread). Just letting you know that it has mostly gone away on its own.
