Congrats on the new dap. Balanced is definitely better in any ak dap. Yes i occasionally get tidal stopping playback as well. Especially during offline mode. It becomes less when you update the playlists while your online. Just select the playlist and let the songs load.

Yes the symbios sound transparent too but they dont tame the highs on some tracks with the andros. The spiral dots sound a bit warmer and smoother compared to the symbios without sacrificing detail. I just ordered the spiral dot++. Cant wait to try them also.

Has anyone noticed that the dap gets louder over time? I switched to balanced a few months ago using the andromedas. Started at volume level of 25 for normal listening and now after a few months im down to 17. Is this because of burn in or my ears cleared up? Lol

Yes they are the best with the andros. Tried the symbios etc the spiral dots sound really smooth without any sibilance as well.

I use EA thor ii’s out of my SE100’s and love them. They sound great on the Sp1000’s too!

Yeah i know what you mean. I just love my andros so much that im willing to spend on a good quality balanced cable to end my search once and for all. This is just how this hobby goes from my experience.

The vocals on my andros has a forward signature to it on my ak se100 dap. I never used the EQ function. At the end of the day with this hobby, it is really all about synergy. I believe it is your dap that is making the vocals sound a little recessed.

Oh i see. Try to audition them there if you plan to go balanced next time. Huge difference in terms of sound from the stock litz. Try the thor ii’s first if you can. They pair up really well with the andros.
