Vali 2 tube rolling
Thank you, Bill. All well personally, just busy at work. All that crap with war in Europe is depressing. I enjoy the tubes I have so my interest in exploring further has been reduced somewhat. Hope you are well, too?- Old Deaf Donkey

just be careful if you drop in on the floor when rolling with decent sized tubes: it might fall in between the boards and you will never retrieve it- Old Deaf Donkey

I found my nirvana in a setup that includes K702. Never bother to look for anything else but rolling the tubes that I already own from time to time.- Old Deaf Donkey

Not just for Telefunken, also for Siemens and other brands. Rundfunk- und Fernmelde-Technik (RFT) was a large East German state-owned conglomerate which had many factories, some of them were built by Telefunken before the war (e.g. "Anna Seghers" in Neuhaus). When the production of tubes in...- Old Deaf Donkey

Yeah. I took it from a wrong angle, perhaps. I wish you enjoy the tubes. I was looking at some C68G and some and C6F8 and 7193 and suddenly realized that I HAVE MORE BLOODY TUBES THAT I CAN EVER LISTEN TO! That's why I do not need more, not because they are more expensive than they used to be...- Old Deaf Donkey

I am not questioning your decision. It is your money and you spend it as you wish, of course. I just wonder about the seller and authenticity of his stock- Old Deaf Donkey

These look like sold in India. Are they genuine? The source seems to have unlimited supply of all good tube types, which is somewhat odd, is it not?- Old Deaf Donkey

OK, re-checked the record. The Russians say the best sounding Moscow-made 6H8C are with shiny perforated anodes, made from carbonised nickel: Moscow factory (МЭЛЗ), metal base, late Fifties. 1578 is an after-manufacturing testing quality assurance stamp, to certify less than 1% difference of...- Old Deaf Donkey

They look OK, if not that ugly ink stamp. These seem to be with the black plates, not grey ones. I do not remember which ones are older or sound better (I do not want to discuss their sonic character as that annoys some of us). Any way, hereby these different types; shiny [grey] on the left...- Old Deaf Donkey
