Hey all, new here but over the last couple weeks I have tried a bunch of tubes in my Vali2++'s. For anyone else new that is checking out this thread for ideas, the GE 5-Star 5670 has been my favorite so far.

I mainly listen to alternative, classic rock, and EDM of various types and that tube has full / deep bass without being sloppy and good clarity through the mids and up.

I did a quick glance but if I didn't read it wrong, Vali 2+ can use 6J5 x 2 tubes? Interesting..... LOL. Curious how it looks like, since 6J5 x 2 already look a bit ridiculous on my Lyr 3.

EDIT: Maybe my memory getting worse but I do vaguely remember seeing someone using 7A4 x 2 on Vali so this probably makes sense.

sure it can - with a right splitter adapter. it is not just the looks: the
space of the soundstage!

that's 7A4s in Vali 2, but same setup with different adapter of the same kind for 6J5

Yes I believe you don't worry. I just don't have Vali 2+ anymore.

never seen any reason to change it since I paired it with aune DAC and got all the tubes an cans I wanted

just be careful if you drop in on the floor when rolling with decent sized tubes: it might fall in between the boards and you will never retrieve it
