@povidlo Does the volume on your SG1 Gold have a delay when you turn it up? Mine does. When I turn it up it's about 2 seconds before the sound goes up.

@povidlo might know. I don't know if he tried out all the different firmwares. I have not. The original has 2.8V (32Ω) and I think the Gold is 6V (32Ω).

With my Mod House Argons, I get excellent bass all the way down into the sub-bass region when it's called for in the music on the Special Edition Gold.

For this reason I've never updated to any of the 2 different firmware versions that are available on the Dethonray website. Like @povidlo said, You can email Anson and he will give you the firmware for the Special Gold so you can try all the different flavors and find a sound to your liking.

I think the Gold one is probably fine with iems. You probably would only have problems with the really sensitive ones but I couldn't say. I only use full size headphones and use the Pegasus for hard to drive Planar magnetic headphones.

The Special Edition Gold has twice the power of the original Pegasus and there isn't a 3.5 phone out. If I was using it for iems, I would probably go with the original non-gold SG1s. It should drive them fine and it has the 3.5mm phone out.

I would get one while they're still available. I was using the Fiio BTR7 & iFi GO blu on my Argons. The Dethonray SG1 Gold beats them both hands down.

With this amp it is the absolutely best my Mod House Argon Mk3s have ever sounded. The Pegasus Special Edition Gold has a magical sound to it. Hopefully it will be made available in the states in the near future. I just didn't want to wait till whenever that time will be.

I ordered the Pegasus SG1 SE Gold one from them. I live in the states and it took 9 days, that's including going through customs. When you order from them and it says, ships immediately under the item, it will go out either that day or the next. If it's not in stock then it will take about 2...

The red does look pretty cool. The Dethonray site is the only place that has pegasus sg1 cases. They don't have them on eBay, Amazon or any other site that I've seen.

Anson got in touch with me and told me to order from the Dethonray site on AliExpress. I have already ordered from there and the only color they have is red. I guess he's working on his next projects and doesn't have the time to make made to order cases anymore.

I dove in off the high dive into Android 11. It took about 20min downloading the update over wifi. Everything runs smooth. All my apps respond and open faster than before. The waters just right. You can dive in now too. 😁

They do not sound the same. I feel that Amp 13 sounded really good but needed just a little more in the treble region. Amp 14 sounds fantastic and gives me that treble presence that was lacking on Amp 13 but this is just my opinion when listening through my Apos Caspian Open-Backs.
