Up for your consideration is a Bryston BUC-1 USB Converter. But, I have since upgraded my DAC and no longer use it. Like all things...- fbny71

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless
I never experienced any appreciable difference in performance between wired and wireless modes, I am certain of that...even without any noise like you describe experiencing, that would have driven me mad. I never had reason to reach out for support...the contact us section of their webpage...- fbny71

Mytek Brooklyn Thread
I really only use my Brooklyn DAC+ in my 2 channel speaker setup...I rarely use headphones. My un-audiophile description of the difference would be wider, fuller, as well as louder.- fbny71

That would have helped me last year when I bought my adapter! And it would have been made in America...Will probably buy another from there too!- fbny71

Mytek Brooklyn Thread
It took about two weeks to arrive in New York from China. On the plus side, it only cost $26.82 shipping included if I'm not mistaken. This was the seller: https://www.ebay.com/usr/jiangzhan2012?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2754- fbny71

Mytek Brooklyn Thread
I got an adapter made by an eBay seller out of China. I just sent them a link to the Mytek spec for the adapter and they wired it custom for me. It was very inexpensive but took a few weeks to arrive. I can dig out the seller info if anyone wants it.- fbny71

Mytek Announces Clef Mobile MQA DAC/Amp @ CES 2017
I am very interested in the Clef so this has all been very disappointing to hear. As enticing as the iFi XDSD I opted for the $99 Bluewave GET Wireless DAC/Amp from Massdrop. I love my Brooklyn DAC+ and haven't had any of the negative customer service experiences others have described (maybe...- fbny71

Mytek Brooklyn DAC+ / Apple remote functionality
Just wondering if anyone knows how, or if it's even possible, for the Apple remote to control song play back functions. I'm using the DAC+ with a Mac Mini using Roon and Tidal.- fbny71

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless
These closeups are so you can see the wonky stitching. Appears to be structurally sound but not as pretty as the ones in the pictures:- fbny71

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless
I received the Chinese replacement ear pads. The stitching is not as neat as it is on the photos but the pads should hold up. The material does feel close enough to the leather on the original pads. The reason I got them though was comfort and I’m that regard they deliver...at least in my case...- fbny71

Rank the Headphones that You Own.
Back in February 2014, I bought my first full sized headphones after only using buds and then in ears for years. I decided on the M-Audio Studiophile Q-40's based on MalVeauX's review and I was not disappointed. I just bought a pair of Dekoni Audio Elite Sheepskin pads for my Q-40's. They're...- fbny71

Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital Impression Thread
I'm dying to get the Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital...I just have to finish saving up the money! I don't have any DSD or high res files but I stream a lot through Tidal and I do generally like MQA. I only have an AQ Dragonfly Red and a Schiit Modi that was loaned to me for a weekend as reference...- fbny71

Reply to review by 'fbny71' on item 'M-Audio Studiophile Q40 Closed-back Dynamic Headphones'
You're review convinced me to pull the trigger on these back in Feb 2014...I got them for $89. I never upgraded the pads and didn't mind the stock cable, though I did mod it- coiled it because of the excessive length. I have to say I still like the sound and still use them at home. The original...- fbny71

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless
It seems I answered my own question... B&W website sells replacement ear pads: http://www.bowers-wilkins.com/Shop/accessories/P5-Series-2-ear-pad.html "Suitable for P5 Series 2 and P5 Wireless, not the original P5." I'm going to order the Chinese replacement pads and hope they make my P5W's...- fbny71

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless
I have a pair of B&W P5W's and I've loved the sound, the build, the styling, I just couldn't bear to wear them for more than an hour and a half, maybe two before the clamping felt too uncomfortable. I don't (think) I have a very large head and I've tried leaving them clamped around a stack of...- fbny71

Hello all, Favio from NY here. I've been lurking on and off for several years but only recently signed up. I would consider myself a budget audiophile and Head-Fi has proven to be quite useful in helping me make decisions. I am in the process of re-thinking some things and figured I should sign...- fbny71
