Thanx fellas, I took it home and plugged the laptop into it with USB and used HP's (balanced) and it worked so will take it back to work and unplug everything and plug it back in and see how it goes as a preamp with my speakers again hopefully it works.

Well I've listened to the Aries/Qutest combo for around 20hrs or so and yes it's a fantastic set-up surprisingly pumps the bass on my Meze Empyrean's and everything is so clear and detailed Love it so far.. Using my Curious USB cable to the laptop just with Prime music.

Hey Matt how are you mate yeah still kicking along , Its amazing the difference in SQ from a decent DAC eh! I've been through a few diff SS Amps and DACs in the past but will never sell Destiny-2 for the $$ you can't beat it..

I haven't written on here for a while as nothing much to say but just got a new DAC "Chord Qutest" and WOW made a massive difference with my ( Destiney2 300b Amp ) by Eric, I was using a Questyle CMA12 as a DAC so the Qutest was a huge up-grade, Way more Detail, soundstage, Way smoother & better...

I'm using it as a standalone & as a Pre-Amp for Eric's 300b amp so should be good.

Yeah I can't wait, I was a bit hesitant at first due to it coming out 2+yrs ago, Only due to knowing my luck as soon as I buy it a month later a new model or up-date gets released, But bit the bullet as all the write-ups, opinions on here & reviews are all excellent,

I've ordered a new SparkoS-Aries with Pre-amp-XLR outs and a Chord-Qutest can't wait to get it should arrive in few days, I Received the DAC a week ago using it with my 300b tube AMP sounds exceptional, Just waiting on the Aries. I have a few HP's but will mostly be using my Meze Empyrean's.

At that price I expect more than it has even if it is class A running the volume at 95-100% all the time is rediculous, I've had many HP AMP's all class A and all are way more powerful and of equal SQ. I will say the build quality is very nice built like a tank, As I said I have the class A...

I also had the MDR-Z1r and got rid of them found them a bit boring IMO, I've had these for around 6-months I find these to have great resolution/detail and fantastic bass If you bend headband to the shape of your head there quite comfy I love mine so far...

I had the Artemis for 1yr and found the sound beautiful but way to under powered even on my Fostex-th900mk2 ( I have 10prs of HP's ) had to have on 20 clicks out of 23 clicks on the volume knob was tested by Denafrips and nothing wrong with it just under powered HP-AMP they said it was built for...

Yeah I asked my local shop to get the XL pads in for me... Just made a Blue Dragon cable with 4-pin XLR and Eidiolic HD800 connectors and wow made a huge difference IMO much more clearer forward Vocals cleans up the whole SQ compared to stock cable... I suppose it would depend on Amp etc also...

I got some silver wire, 4-Pin XLR & 4.4mm connectors, Just waiting on some Eidiolic HD800 connectors and will make a couple of new cables for them hopefully brings out a bit more detail .

Hey I just got the Cascades and There Great ( Bassy as ) listened to them on my Phone LG-V40 and my 300B tube Amp Questyle CMA-12, and my A&K Kann Cube sound good on all I only have the standard Leather pads atm and have the T4 filters in I noticed the latter version ( Mines close to 1700 )...

The Artemis is a beautiful HP Amp it's build is superb it's fully balanced with 1/4-inch, 4-pin XLR and ( L-R ) x2 3-pin XLR Jacks, The sound is slightly warm side of neutral very clear great smooth chocolaty bass, clear crisp vocals it's a warm full sound I would describe it as a Tubey tone...
