Cayin N3 Hi-Res DAP with AKM4490 DAC, apt-X Bluetooth, and Line, USB & Coax Out for $150

I just bought a pair of Jabra wireless earbuds (elite active 65t) for my commute and am unable to pair them with my Cayin N3. They do not show up on the Bluetooth "Available Devices" list. But they work just fine with my iPhone. Anyone have any tips for getting the Cayin to work with wireless...

Cayin N3 Hi-Res DAP with AKM4490 DAC, apt-X Bluetooth, and Line, USB & Coax Out for $150

That makes sense—except that what’s happening isn’t a hung system, but rather a hung button. Everything else continues to work. That’s what has me confused. Though it’s possible this is just how the overload is manifesting in the player. Anyway, you’re probably right—but if anyone else comes...

Cayin N3 Hi-Res DAP with AKM4490 DAC, apt-X Bluetooth, and Line, USB & Coax Out for $150

@CayinSupport I am mostly been satisfied with my N3, but I have an ongoing issue: When I hold the haptic left or right arrow button to scroll through folders, for example, the scrolling often stops after several seconds and the button becomes unresponsive for several more seconds. During these...

Cayin N3 Hi-Res DAP with AKM4490 DAC, apt-X Bluetooth, and Line, USB & Coax Out for $150

Hi Andy, I am very late to this thread, but I just got my N3 and am loving everything--except the 20,000 song limit. Using the Music Library function works fine, but as a kid raised on iPods I'd love the option of browsing by category and shuffling my whole library, which is pushing 30,000...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

@FiiO So the X1 2nd Gen, which was advertised as offering gapless, will never offer gapless. If you are sincerely apologetic for this false advertising, you can offer a full refund for the product or replace it with a player that does support gapless. Nothing else is acceptable.

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

@FiiO Do you see how many people in this thread bought the X1 II for its gapless play capability? You misled us into spending $100. How are you going to make this up to the people who are now stuck with a player that has totally let them down?

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

@FiiO This has happened to me too. Unfortunately I am out of the 30-day return window and B & H will not let me return or exchange my player.

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Wow. @FiiO That really should be made clear in the advertising. I would never have purchased the device.

Sounds like a dream, coming from the X1 II. Now I know what's on my holiday wish list...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Good to know, thanks. Do you use a Browse by Category function on the N3, or just navigate your own files and folders?

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

    1. The issue only occurs when it restarts, after displaying the Welcome screen. Sometimes this restart with display of the Welcome screen occurs when starting up from Deep Sleep. 2) How do I share the files? Head-Fi is not allowing to me to upload MP3s.

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

@fourrobert13 Yeah, I'm suspecting the same thing re: hardware limitations... How much did you get for the X1 II, if you don't mind my asking? And I see you've got the Cayin N3--it's working well for you? What kind of library do you have on there in terms of size (GB and # of songs)?

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

@FiiO I'm running 1.6.2. 1) When I turn the player on from OFF, the settings have changed: the language is Chinese, the Gapless mode is Fade In/Fade Out, and the Scroll Wheel Prompt Tone is On. Sometimes this happens when turning the player on from Deep Sleep as well, and the Welcome screen...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Just updated to 1.6.0--the "Gapless" setting has a brief but very noticeable hiccup. Listening to MP3s on both "Category" (media library) and "Browse Files" mode using wired headphones. Otherwise, the UI is definitely faster in all areas, though navigating using the media library is still...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

@Dobrescu George I've been experiencing terrible lag on the X1 2nd gen, and am considering stripping my files of their embedded artwork as you recommend to see if this helps.   I have a couple questions:   1) I still use iTunes (on a Mac) to manage my library, and I use Dapper to sync my...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

@FiiO    The bug is fixed for me too, and the library did update a little faster. Thank you!   HOWEVER, navigation within the database menus is even slower than before--pretty much unusable--and skipping between songs under "Songs" is much slower as well. Perhaps this is because of the...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Hi George P. and FiiO,   Two discoveries:   1) Adding genre tags did NOT change anything. There's still a discrepancy of about 4,500 songs between the "About X1" menu and the "All Songs" menu.   2) Tiny files ARE showing up under "All Songs", I discovered while listening to my...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Hi fish1050 and George P (and FiiO),   I have my music organized into folders through iTunes (I know, I know, it's a pain) on a Mac. I am syncing the iTunes Media/Music folder to my microSD using Dapper.   I went into my iTunes library and tried to figure out what might have been missing to...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Hi FiiO,   The missing songs are definitely MP3s, at least for the most part. I only have ~400 AACs, and ~4,500 songs are missing from the "All Songs" menu.   Unfortunately, I am not able to figure out which songs are showing up under "Browse Files" but not the "All Songs" menu because this...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Hi Frenchman,   Yes, firmware 1.53.   My card came in exFAT, and my player came with a slightly older firmware...1.2 or something like that? It was a couple weeks back. With the card formatted it exFAT, it was barely usable--songs were skipping, stuttering, and pausing when I browsed files...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Hi Graeme (& Fiio),   I am also having a problem with songs not being displayed in the database. My issue is different, however:   After updating the media library, in the "About X1" menu it displays 26992 songs. BUT when I navigate to "All Songs" through the "Category" menu, the "Now...
