AMP size of sansa fuze for pk1s, um2s
So I recently got the fiio e5 for my sansa fuze -> PK1s, but still think I can get more out of these things. So now I'm considering any amps that are near the size of a FUZE (1.9″ x 0.3″ x 3.1″) that would drive PK1s well and have good battery life. The most important dimension would be its...- rwest1389

pa2v2 or cmoy or mini3
I have and love the mini3. I used to have a meier move, but downgraded to free up some cash. I had some time to compare the two, and the move was better, but not by much. The mini3 is just a great value. Ive tried a MINT, which is a lot like a cmoy, and quite frankly, I didn't think it...- rwest1389

REVIEW: Nuforce NE-7M iPhone IEM vs Denon C700 and Klipsch Image X10 (NE-8 Impressions Added 1/15/09)
how thick is the stem on these things? are they the size of standard canal phones or skinnier? the t400 complys are the ones that westone uses, correct? does that mean that shure black foamies would fit? thanks- rwest1389

Cheapest DAC?
If its really portable, I'm guessing you need it to run off a battery, or be powered by the notebook. Trouble is, if you're not using USB, it really can't be powered by your notebook. So that leaves battery powered, and the only portable DACs that run off battery that i can think of are DAC/amp...- rwest1389

Will Ferrel cannot act
I find him funny in moderate quantities. If I see too much of him, his style can get VERY annoying. But watching anchorman for the first time I thought was hilarious, although the supporting cast was a huge part of it. and no he can't act- rwest1389

The Objectivist Audio Forum: Post #2 Definitions
I've noticed many people (at least in the other thread) talking about how the differences that some things may make (cables, etc.) are below the threshold of human hearing. If blind testing is done at many meets in a rigorous and fair manner, I would not be too surprised to see that these...- rwest1389

I'd be very interested because I want to know how some of these minor things (e.g. burn-in) would affect sound.- rwest1389

Absolute positioning? <- Most amazing idea ever in the history of ideas?
Here are some of my ideas, likely all off, so correct me if I am mistaken but, the recorded audio from a band may be compiled from different instruments (it really always is) but once its compiled (not sure how they do it but nevertheless) you're left with stereo sound, meaning left and right...- rwest1389

I'm a rocker
whats your budget? I got hfi780s cause i read that they are closed and grado-ish. Ive gotta say they really rock. sweet bass, detailed, engaging mids, highs are a little bright (but I like it). Iso is pretty good, too, though not as much as an iem.- rwest1389

Open 'phones with detail, soundstage for <$150?
I have hfi-780s and am very satisfied with them as fun headphones and closed when thats necessary. Now Im looking for some open headphones with a big soundstage, good detail, and very little to no coloration. This may be asking too much, but whats available? I'm keeping my eyes peeled for...- rwest1389

Headphones (around $150) for listening to alternative rock?
what are you going to be listening out of? and i think if its a modest setup, the bitrate will matter before the actual recording quality (unless its really bad i guess)? if its going to be VBR or at least 192kbps out of an ipod, youre probably not going to find grados revealing to the point of...- rwest1389

Grado SR225's (don't know what to think just yet)
I do think the 880s present music more honestly and beautifully but the 225s are dang fun. I agree with Redo though in that I find the 225s to have more bass. Im also really surprised you find 225s brighter. The only real downside I found with the 880s was that the highers are very, uhh...- rwest1389

Best headphones for Pink Floyd under $350 (outside US). PLEASE READ BEFORE VOTING.
I looove PF, and my fav can for em would be hfi-780s, followed closely by sr-225s. Both have the right amount of detail and are up-front enough for me. I really need to hear the guitars very closely for PF, and the sennheisers I've tried, 595s extensively, 650s briefly, while sounding very good...- rwest1389

MP3 Player with the Essentials?
yeah I've been leaning toward iAudio 7. Has anyone tried driving full sized cans from the sansa fuze? It too looks tempting, but I wouldn't mind shelling out a little more so that I don't need to carry around an amp.- rwest1389
