Elekit TU-8200 DX Headphone/Speaker Amp Review
I started out with Ultra Linear, then changed over to Triode, and that is where it stays now. I feel the vocals are a little more well delivered in Triode vs UL, albeit with a little less authority in the bass department.- JayKay47

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
I guess the Yen exchange rate isn't as favorable as it once was when NEW L700's could be had for $1150ish. I think the slight difference in sound between the L700 and L300LE + L700 pads could be attributed to the different cables between the two. I'm still on the fence whether I'll keep both...- JayKay47

Elekit TU-8200 DX Headphone/Speaker Amp Review
One of the pics is my incorrectly mounted caps, that have since been mounted properly. The last pic is Dimu's, and are the correct orientation. On another note, I replaced the stock interstage cap in my Eddie Current Aficionado with Jupiter Copper Foil caps, and WOW, they are awesome. I may...- JayKay47

Oh yes further discussion will be fruitful for people that don't want to spend more money or can't afford too.. Maybe you're trying to justify the extra expense on the 007tA, and you will mislead other's into spending more $$$ than necessary without all the facts, and variables being equal.- JayKay47

LIke I said, Your SRM-T1S was not fully refurbished and it's not fair to compare it against a fresh amp, unless you have heard both side by side when they are at factory spec.- JayKay47

Was your SRM-T1S re-capped or have new tubes installed? Doing both of these updates greatly improved the top end and detail in my SRM-T1S. It was not a small difference, rather significant.- JayKay47

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
I should add I have also had the SR-202 and SR-207 and sold them, I still have Lambda Pro that I have replaced the old pads with leather 507's, an Airbow SC-1, and the SR-300LE w/L700 pads which I prefer over the stock pads. I have not heard the L300. L500, or L700. I invited a local L700 owner...- JayKay47

Yeah, the 252 and Oppo DAC are a serious bottleneck in that system. I curently use a SRM-T1S that I re-capped and replaced the tubes, as well as a Schiit Gumby. I had a 252 at one time and sold it because I compared it to a 313 and it was no contest. Then sold the 313 because I bought a SRM-1...- JayKay47

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
I had similiar measurements with my 300LE when I first got them... They looked like Lambda's with a very poor seal. Then I orderd L700 pads and remeasured when they arrived. Even the stock 300LE pads sealed better after almost 50hrs of play time than they did orginally, maybe they softened...- JayKay47
