Actually my ear likes less warm stuff. So I have a slight bias towards the Magni + and the 3+ which I own as well.
Punch not an issue here it has twice the power available at 50 ohms and lower. It would work better with hard to drive planars low impedance.

That said I like them both equally.
By pairing with different cans with these two amps my ears smile alot.

Just got my Piety. Ordered at 10:17 AM PST. It was just shipping up the west coast, so that was pretty fast. I'm impressed with it, only have time to do one quick listen on some speakers.

I’m using my AKG K712 Pro headphones and ETA Mini Closed with the Piety

The Piety is definitely giving good synergies with dynamic drivers. As for Planars, I only have the Dan Clark Aeon X Open but IMHO Piety doesn’t max out the Aeon X Open not in loudness but driver control rather, but the easy to drive ones (those that require less continuous and simultaneous voltage and current draw) from Rosson and Audeze and HiFiman (except Susvara and HE6se) planars should synergize well with Piety

Both mine showed up when they were suppose to here in SoCal
