Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

It seems like all bluetooth receivers on the market are <$200 with SE analogue outputs. If Schiit can make something with balanced output and with a price similar to Modius/Bifrost, I would definitely buy.

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

The use case for me is to allow my speakers play youtube videos. Use a long usb cable could be annoying. I bought the ifi bluetooth receiver dac but found the sound quality very bad as compared to using its digital output to my yggy.

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Any chance Schitt can make a bluetooth receiver (w/ dac built in), like ifi Zen Blue, etc. ?

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I just upgraded my Gumby to Yggy. Dont know if you guys had the same issue or not. Sometimes I can hear electrostatic noise (like a quick sudden bump) from my headphones with Yggy, though not often and very rare. I use exactly the same setup and location as my Gumby which never had this issue...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

To be honest, I dont really care where the product is made, as long as there is good warranty and customer service.

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

$500 is probably a bit cheap for a transport in my opinion. I would say above $1k.

Thanks for the info! I dont expect it to be cheap at all :). This year, hmmm, got it hahaha.

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Based on my past experience or feeling, a new Schitt product will be available on market 6 months after Jason says "it will be available very soon" or "waiting for the final piece" lol :D :D. Since there hasn't been any formal post yet, i guess at least another 1 year.

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

What CD transport do you guys use? I am not sure if I can wait for the Schiit one to come out. I was looking at Jays Audio CDT2-MK2. It is priced at $2,398 and I dont know if it is over-priced. For the Cambridge CXC transport, I have heard good things and bad things, so not sure if that would be...

I have ripped all my >2000 CDs but still I want a transport!

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

@Jason Stoddard Hi Jason, I am planning to move from headphones to speakers. I was wondering if Aegir *2 (Mono, 8 ohms: 80W RMS) would be a good fit for Bowers & Wilkins 804 D3 which says "Recommended amplifier power: 50W - 200W into 8Ω on unclipped programme" in the info sheet. Or Vidar *2...

Same as you. Have thousands of CDs and do need a quality cd transport, a transport that can work perfectly with Schiit DACs.

Congrats on the Sol! AND, any plans for the cd transport? lol

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

The reason I want a CD transport is the same reason that Schiit is designing Sol: there are vinyl collectors and there are CD collectors. Schiit has produced Vidar, which shows their ambition into the home audio area. Then a turntable/CD transport will be a good companion. There are CD...

Violectric HPA V281 - Vorsprung durch Balanced (September 2023 Update: Limited Reissue Edition up for preorder!)

I use HD800S only and I listen to classical music only (symphony and piano). I found that I am very lazy about finding quality tubes (with reasonable price) for my WA22 currently. I don't want to spend much on tubes for WA22 because I think even with awesome tubes, WA22 still cannot be as good...

Violectric HPA V281 - Vorsprung durch Balanced (September 2023 Update: Limited Reissue Edition up for preorder!)

I only have WA22. Want to buy either V281 or WA5LE as my next amp.

Violectric HPA V281 - Vorsprung durch Balanced (September 2023 Update: Limited Reissue Edition up for preorder!)

I know there are many threads talking about pairing with HD800/HD800S. Just wondering, in summary, how would you guys rank the V281, Woo WA22 and Woo WA5 pairing with HD800/800S. Thanks

Yes I am lol. My problem is that the noise (which is tolerable though) keeps existing, without source.

Thanks so much. After I connect my amp directly to wall, the noise greatly reduced. I am using HD600 and I can barely hear noise in Low now but sometimes still can hear noise in High. Is that because HD600 is not suitable for High?

Any suggestions for balanced cable (DAC to AMP) under $200? Thanks a lot.
