Can you describe any other comparisons between the LCD-x and the eikon?

Ditto on the cf headband. You might feel really dumb while ordering it but you'll feel really smart when you're wearing it.

I had the Flows for a weekend and listened to them before the magical burn in period. I really really wanted to like them, but my ears said no.

I was ready to give up on these headphones when I first got them due to the weight. I even ordered the Ether Flow in hopes they would sound nearly as nice. But while waiting for the Flows I received the CF headband and the comfort level was night and day. So, peace out, Flows.

To me, before I got the CF, I thought the headphones were just super heavy and didn't see how changing the lightest part of the headphone would make any difference, but since they ship free and let you return it with no questions asked (unlike other smaller companies), I tried it and found that...

I read on this thread that it was a problem they fixed. On mine there is a little tiny space between the leather and band.

I just got mine and they have the V shape. I will send a pic when I get back to it.

I honestly don't know why companies don't make "burn in" a part of their production process, if it really improves the performance.  Maybe people love the burn in process?  Maybe it keeps them from returning it if they don't love it immediately?  The headphones I love the most, to me, I loved...

Just wanted to provide an update. I put a foam Audeze spacer as mrspeakers suggested in this thread. Looks like it helps a lot with the issue. If I could make a suggestion, it should probably ship with the spacer so the earpad doesn't crease. I'm sure some people are ok with it looking like...

I don't know about having Audeze sound but I like the pm-3 for closed back at under $500. But also heard great things about the Audeze Sine.

I just got the Ether Flows.  I listened for only about 30 min, so take this with a grain of salt.  If you enjoy the LCD-X and especially what the lower end bass provides, the Flows will likely not really do it for you.  I have the LCD-X and the Stax 3100, which I think they are nice complements...

Mine came with an inspection date and signature from the inspector, hopefully that's at least near the time it was manufactured. Yeh so with the comfort no longer being an issue, I need to figure out what to do with these ether flows.

Y'all were not kidding.  This carbon fiber headband really helps.  It's stupidly expensive for sure, but now I can actually use what I paid so much more for.

Interesting. I don't have the luxury to listen to these in my area, so I end up just being subject to tons of hype.

I'm just hearing a lot about the ether flows being very clear and fast, but that's what people find most appealing with Stax.

Anyone compare the Stax entry level stuff to the ether flows?
