Mimicking other iems using Squiglink FR's

Does anyone know how I can download the FR of an IEM I own from a squig link to compare it to another earphone uploaded by another reviewer? I'm trying to EQ the HiFiMan RE400 to the Kiwi Ears Quartet but I can't find any squig link that has both.

    Yamaha EPH-100

Amazing! Thank you mate, at least I know they are able to be disassembled, and right at the spot where I thought they might come apart. Now to get another set of flat pliers :D

    Yamaha EPH-100

Mine are chewed in multiple places so really need a new cable, I can't get these things apart to save my life though. Not sure if they are glued or what. I see that the shiny nozzle looks as if it should pull out from the back of the shell but it just doesn't budge.

    Yamaha EPH-100

Not for sale here sadly, I'd have to import from Japan most likely. I have been looking at the shell trying to get them open but they are solid, there is a strange clip on the underside of the earphone, I have been trying to push it and pull it to try and release them but no luck. It's such a...

    Yamaha EPH-100

So did anyone ever manage to disassemble these? I had mine for all of 6 hours before my cat chewed the cable and broke them. They've been sitting in my drawer for years but I'd like to recable if possible.

Apple Music  Now with lossless high-res and spatial audio

Oh come on! This is a game changer for those of us who love music and appreciate the highest quality available. Who cares what the "average Joe" is doing with their bluetooth headphones? Lossless music for no additional fee is huge. I will most likely stick to AAC for mobile listening as I...

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread

The BL03 still sounds better than the Mini IMO. At least when it comes to this test:

I wonder whether BLON will create a BL03 with a long stem and better cable, seems to be the main complaint around them.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

What's the general consensus between the Galaxy Buds and Buds+? The Buds+ are cheaper here for some reason. Are there any chances Samsung will add aptX in future versions or are they likely to stick with their proprietary technology?

    Earbuds Round-Up

Yep I can agree with that. I always remember the earbuds in the 80s and the difference foam made, back then I wouldn't dream of using them without foam. Sadly for me, earbuds just don't fit my ears well enough to get good sound. On the other hand, EarPods fit great and because of that give good...

Sony budget earphone discussion thread (MH750, MH755, MH1C, EX300, etc)

The seller refunded me and has left me no return instructions. So I guess he doesn't want them back. I did tell him I would be happy to return if he paid for postage... I am not being out of pocket all because he is selling fakes!

    Earbuds Round-Up

I have the Vido's and while they are good, I can't say earbuds really provide THAT much bass. You'll find more bass in EarPods if you get a good fit with them. I think there's just too much space between traditional earbuds and the ear to generate much bass.

Thanks for confirming! Do not buy MH750 from eBay seller luckychoice365.

These are fake, right? Driver looks fake, no "dots". Label has purple ribbon. Bore seems wide compared to my 755? Is the 750 wider or should they be the same? The driver literally drops out of the casing, on my MH755 they are glued to the front side of the case. Eartips are very thin. Crazy...

Well, I was a complete newbie and I recabled 2 of them without incident, it was fun too! In regards to opening them, you can literally open them with your fingers alone, if not wear rubber gloves and it's even easier. No need to stick sharp tools in to the shell to open them, that always...

Recabling is so easy though, there's really no reason not to do it. I made sure to get a nice thin cable from AE as I didn't want anything too heavy. I'd never soldered before, but my brother had a soldering iron and I borrowed that. My recable cost me £1.19 in total, and the earphones are so...

    Best IEM tips?

Lovely, thanks! Do you know the bore size of these tips? From what I'm reading they won't fit many other brands, e.g. Sony.

Sony budget earphone discussion thread (MH750, MH755, MH1C, EX300, etc)

Better is subjective, what I think sounds better, you might not. The MH755 sound great without a doubt, but I do think they sound a bit bloated on the bass side at times, a bit like my old Shure 215s. If you are happy with the sound of the MH755 I wouldn't spend money hunting for anything...

Yeah the price varies on the EX650ap, they are listed at £60.00 on the Sony website, I bought them from Amazon UK in 2017 for £38.99. I wouldn't suggest them at this point in time, you can get far better IEMs when it comes to the cable. They still sound great though.

So I own the MH755, EX155ap and EX650ap. They all sound very similar. If I had to pick one for best sound it would be the EX650ap, it just sounds tighter in the bass department and has cleaner highs than the MH755 and EX155ap. The EX155ap is better than the MH755 for a few reasons; the cable...

    Tin HiFi Impressions Thread

I think the issue is, a lot of people find the Tin's way too bright and light on bass. It's obvious Tin are trying to catch the Bass/V shaped fans with this one.
