    Which ~$200 IEM?

Actually, the P1's can be worn three different ways, two of which are straight down. And besides that, the P1 are much more comfortable over ear than Shures.

Out of all these Iems which has the over all best bang for the buck clearest sound and picks up the most micro details?

The Etyomtic series are the kings of detail. Hardly anything can beat them until you reach thousands of dollars. But, the best bang for buck in that list has to be the Pinnacle p1. It's just so much better than 200 dollars.

    Etymotic er3XR vs er4XR

I just read a comment on amazon that said that the reason the er3 is so much cheaper than the er4 is that the er4 is manufactured and tested at Etymotic's facility, while the er3 are manufactured in china with the same material and drivers. So basically, they're made without the same strict...

    Looking for the right earphones

The MEE Audio Pinnacle P1 are neutral, well built, and are a bit under 200 dollars. The Pinnacle P2 is 99 dollars, if you need something cheaper, and shares the sound signature. Amazing IEM.

    Replacing IEM wax guard

There could be any number of materials you could try. How dense is this mesh? If you sent a picture, it might help people decide how thin the replacement material needs to be.

Want to know what kind of A2e sound

It's considered one of the best entry level CIEMs you can get, so I'd say pretty good.

    Etymotic er3XR vs er4XR

I recently ordered the Etymotic er3XR to see if I'd enjoy the etymotic sound and fit. I definitely do, but now I'm wondering if I should send back the er3 and go for the er4. Does anybody know how the performance differs between the two? Is the er3 better than the old er4 line, or worse? Is the...

    Which ~$200 IEM?

MEE Audio Pinnacle P1, easy. It's all metal construction, comes with two cables, tons of eartips. It's neutral with good bass, clean mids and great highs. Wide soundstage and great imaging. It's only 170 on amazon right now but performs at a much higher price-point. You should consider it.

    Entry Level CIEM?

All of the CIEMs I listed in my post are 399 or under.

    Entry Level CIEM?

So for as long as I've been in this community, I've lusted after a pair of Custom In-ears. I always thought they'd be so amazing, but I've never bitten the bullet and gotten the impressions. Instead, I've tried quite a few UIEMs. MEE Audio Pinnacle P1, JVC FW01, Noble Audio Trident, and a few...

    Channel Imbalance Mystery

I listen to a lot of different kinds of music, but most of it is newer. Last 20 years or so. And no, it isn't any kind of blockage as I've tried the IEMs on multiple sources with multiple cables. Same effect.

    Channel Imbalance Mystery

So I've been having this issue for awhile now that I cannot seem to solve. It started when I got my MEE Audio Pinnacle P1. After a time of listening to them, I noticed it seemed slightly biased to the left ear. Vocals and other instruments that should have been dead center would be just off to...

    A Broken Audiophile

Grado SR80e. I went down to a local Hifi shop to see if they had headphones. Mostly they just had speakers and turntables, but they had a few pairs of Grados. I tried them and was astonished at how much the signature agreed with me. So now I'm one of those filthy Grado lovers, I guess.

    A Broken Audiophile

Speaking of which, Update: I found an open headphone I like.

    A Broken Audiophile

Actually no. I'm definitely not a basshead. I listen mostly to orchestral stuff, which doesn't rely too much on bass.

    A Broken Audiophile

Well I do consider myself one. I'm certainly not as picky as the general audiophile. I just prefer the sound of closed headphones (so far) over open. Didn't know if anyone else felt the same.

    A Broken Audiophile

So I have a weird little story/experience I wanted to post about. I seem to be a broken audiophile. Now let me explain. Open headphones. They're king, right? So much snobbery around them, it seems. You always read "These are good for a closed headphone" or "They're closed, they can't compete"...

    To Headphone or To DAC?

As far as I can tell, he was being snide about how my budget isn't very large. Not as much as his oh so large one, I'm sure. If I return the HiFiman, I'll have 250 dollars back. That is my budget. Either keeping the planars or a 250 dollar DAC/Amp combo with the Beyer Dt 770

    To Headphone or To DAC?

Not everyone is rich. Some of us have college and actual expenses. Please don't post here again.

    To Headphone or To DAC?

Well that definitely doesn't answer my question. Please don't post answers that have nothing to do with my question.

    To Headphone or To DAC?

Alrighty, okay. So I heard my first planar just the other day. And wow, I'm speechless. I bought the HifiMan HE-400i and man, they're good. In all aspects but soundstage (which isn't quite the shape I enjoy) they're spectacular. But, I've been thinking: I already have the Beyerdynamic DT 770...

    IEM Wax Guard Came Loose

I had thought of that but I didn't want to be limited to a particular kind of tip, and I much prefer silicone. But if my other options fail then Comply will do.

    IEM Wax Guard Came Loose

Alright, I'll look into both of these and see what I can do. Thank you both.

    IEM Wax Guard Came Loose

I really, really enjoy how even high end earphones seem to have thin, glued on cloth for wax guards which can easily fall out. The guard on one of my JVC FW01 fell out, and now I don't want to use them for fear that wax and other particulates will get into the driver and screw them up. Is there...

    Campfire Audio or Something Else?

There's nothing that I dislike about the 598, barring the build materials. I'm looking for an upgrade to my sound, and I prefer IEM's to fullsize. I just want to know if the Lyra II is worth 500 USD more when put beside the Pinnacle P1. I've narrowed it down to those, albeit the UE900 has caught...
