Yulong D100 MK1 Balanced DAC AMP - Sound quits after a minute

Hi, I have owned this amazing Yulong D100 MK1 DAC/AMP for the last 6 years which was bought from a fellow head-fier. The amp already didn't have a working USB, so I always either used the spdif or digital coaxial transport. Few weeks back, the amplifier quit working after a minute of playback...

My left can has finally stopped working. I cuts in when playing with the cable at the connector. Do you guys think its the cable or could it be the connector inside the can itself that is broken. Any help is welcomed here. thanks in advance.

Can one of the owners of AKG7XX provide an impression against SHP9500? rudyae86, I remember you own one. Thanks!

That's quite spendy. Most of us paid less than that for the headphones.

I have he-400 with velor pads and shp9500 is still more comfortable. But they are both different headphones. You shouldn't compare them at all.

    Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling

Well I just got some HE-400s and I feel the volume could be louder, the sound could be fuller. When plugged directly into my D100 high gain, its sounds better. Hence, I am thinking to whether get MUSES02 (40-60 dollar expense) or simply get a different amplifier.

Same here. Just bought them with Audeze black Vegan pads installed, but also got Focus Pads, Velour and pleather pads (I think these come with them). Not to mention, the inner liner mod along with the grill mod. :-)   BTW, can anyone run down their impression on all of these various Pads and...

Look at the post from Magic Man. You don't have to apply the adhesive to the inner felt. Just slide them in so that you can easily remove them later.    As for the ring, I couldn't find one so I am using foam one from Michaels. The first 10 pages of this forum talk about our experiences with...

A quick question regarding 2107AP vs. MUSES02? Do you guys think MUSES02 will provide enhanced amplication over 2107AP?

I actually have Yulong D100 which also has a pretty amazing built-in amp. I have it hooked up to little dot i+. I am going to change the jumper setting to high gain as it seems like the headphone sounds much better (even though its only 35ohms) at high gain through my D100 than at lower gain...

    Philips SHP9500 Discussion Thread

Every ear is made different. Honestly, when I first bought these, I wasn't impressed. However, after proper burn-in and modding them, I now border line love them. They are my goto HPs against much more expensive ones that just sit out there now. They are the only HPs I can listen for hours and...

I owned HP50 previously and really wanted to like it (loved the comfort and the color; red). But everytime I put them on, they would sound lifeless and boring. I think I like bright HPs/speakers and just couldn't go through the brain-burn in process with it. Just bought modded HE-400s and my...

Do you guys think ld+ will pair well with beyerdynamic t90? Or should I go for something better like bottlehead crack?

Same here. From what i have heard, they are pretty much the same except one is made in austria while the other in China (and is much cheaper).

I also own some of those same headphones and can attest to what you are saying. SHP9500 does exhibit some hiss that is noticeable compared to some of those other headphones. The vmoda cable does seem to tame it a bit. I'd like to think that these are very sensitive headphones that allows you to...

I am using the $12 Vmoda cable. Some people claim it makes a significant improvement. I am not entirely sure. I would not recommend spending too much money on a new cable. If you need to get one, get something cheaper between 5-15 range.

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

I do agree with your statement about amps. However, X1 is bass heavy. That much you have to admit (and what some people like and as a result label them as 'fun'). That is something they have 'fixed' in their next revision i.e. X2. DT 990 Pro when driven with a decent amp (they are 250 ohms as...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

Thanks guys for your comments. I do appreciate them. However, every ear is made different. What you find 'fun' can be boring  and dull for others. At the end of the day, if you listen to a pair and you are not satisfied/happy/entertained by it or don't really dig the music protrayed by it then...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

I have to sadly announce that I just sold me X1s. I really wanted to like them but I guess I am spoiled by others. Don't get me wrong, they are quite fun to listen to. But the minute you attempt to become analytical with their sound, they start failing in comparison to others. Just my opinion.
