do yourself a favor and get the best, cheapest headset available: the Plantronics audio .90. Its 1/8" stereo headphone jack with a 1/8" mic for the attached swivel boom mic. Its a great headset, very light and comfortable. The only downside I can see is that you can't really look "straight down"...

actually I will be using some Sennheiser HD600s! I have used the "search" feature and lots of people have had success with this same combo. I can't wait!

I dont know if the monitor affects anything, but if my cell phone rings next to my monitor... its like I degaussed it! Same thing in the car, it makes my stereo buzz really loudly (when close to the front channel amplifier).

for gaming I used to use the plantronics audio .90. These are very nice, very light and comfortable and the sound it fantastic. Microphone is also. However, the plantronics dsp 500 is their top of the line noise cancelling with a digital processor, upgradable firmware model. You might look into it.

Nope I don't have a manual, I bought the card OEM so it was just the hardware inside a static bag. I'm sure creative has it on their website, but I am on dialup here at home and its pathetically slow (lots of graphics).
