Philips Fidelio X2?!
Just use a pencil eraser end (or wooden chop stick) and reach in and tighten the loose bolts. Wiggle the ear cups slightly as you tighten them up. This will have to be done every month or so but it's not really a big deal IMO. Just a little preventive maintenance every so often. . .- Stratos24

Best Computer Audio Player Software?
As of late, I've been using the GOM audio player and it works well with some great features. I've got several backup players such as Winamp, Foobar, AIMP2, etc., but for the most part it's GOM as a daily driver.- Stratos24

Best Computer Audio Player Software?
There's a new FREE audio player that I'm currently using called GOM audio player from GRETECH Corp. So far, I'm fairly impressed especially with its natural sounding EQ and a varied set of interesting Effects that can be switched on/off (Reverb settings, Backwards music, Room emulations, Bass...- Stratos24

Philips Fidelio X2?!
My Woox X2s had a very noticeable channel imbalance favoring the left side. But I loved the sound signature so much that I modified a variable in-line volume control to adjust the channel imbalance to the center. That solved the immediate problem. However, after extended play over the last...- Stratos24

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
ml What you want to use is Polishing Compound not wax. Use a moist soft cloth and rub gently especially around the logo. Mine took 3 to 4 applications to remove the bubble wrap marks.- Stratos24

Thanks for the excellent review, bestula. My Purpleheart TH-X00's aren't due to arrive till August and I also have the X2's and HD540 to compare sound signatures. Hopefully my observations will mirror yours. Excuse me while I "hurry up and wait" for a few more months.- Stratos24

Is HiVi M50W 2.1 Multimedia Speakers still a good quality speaker?
Another satisfied Swans M50W owner, here. These speakers look and sound awesome. Very accurate and life-like in bass, mids and treble frequencies. Fantastic price/performance ratio. Unfortunately my headphones are starting to feel a bit neglected, the M50W's are that good! I recently...- Stratos24

The Fiio X5 Thread
I just noticed a high frequency hum out of the HO jack when paused or in quiet low volume passages. Because I usually pair the X5 with a Cayin C5 amp I never noticed this problem before. Fortunately the LO works well and the sound is nice and black while paused. Has anyone else experienced...- Stratos24

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)

I was seriously going for the TH-610 but the massdrop TH-X00 Purplehearts look just too lovely to ignore. The only downside is there are not expected to ship till August. My Philips X2's will certainly hold my attention till then. Looking forward to comparing the sound signature of these two hps.- Stratos24

NEW! Fostex TH610 Premium Reference Closed-Back Headphones
I'm really looking forward to acquiring these Fostex TH-610's especially having missed out on the latest Massdrop of the TH-00X because of some debit card snafu. Sometimes things work out for the best. The detachable cables on the TH-610, though rather large, is a big plus IMO. The matte...- Stratos24

Philips Fidelio X2?!
After painstakingly removing the left side driver and attempting to disconnect the cups from the glued plastic pivot posts, I finally gave up scraping off glue bits and just re-tightened the screws with a pair of tweezers from the outside. Now that I'm aware of the problem, I'll just check...- Stratos24
