AudioQuest Dragonfly may be better for your case. To me, USB DAC is very durable ones, so do not worry they will break

Maybe you have some external disturb source? such as the power supply. Another bad case is that some parts on your DAC may have issues

Maybe you should check Sound Blaster X7? it is $399 which you can get within $350. It has a good DAC, which is -127dB SNR. Also it has a good ADC I believe
