Recommendation for a Portable USB DAC around $150
AudioQuest Dragonfly may be better for your case. To me, USB DAC is very durable ones, so do not worry they will break- 552388

USB DAC/ADC - Is there a holy grail at $500 or under?
Maybe you should check Sound Blaster X7? it is $399 which you can get within $350. It has a good DAC, which is -127dB SNR. Also it has a good ADC I believe- 552388
