Grado Fan Club!
I have the opportunity to buy a PS500 or a GS1000. Both used and in good condition. I can't test them. I have a GS3000, RS2e and 325x. Which would you choose for a possible purchase?- Johnscheley

I'm very impressed how great a Schiit “magni+mani” stack, a MacBook and a Grado Sr325x sounds. I even wonder why more than that. Great session with Baden Powell, Neil Young, Nina Simone, Henry Mancini, David Byrne and others. The sound is palpable, exciting, timing, rhythmic and detailed. It...- Johnscheley

Since I bought an RS2e with G cushions I haven't used the GS3000 anymore. The RS has more flavor, a liquid sound and is more forgiving on the worst recordings. Right now it's my preference.- Johnscheley

Elekit TU-8200 DX Headphone/Speaker Amp Review
I have a TU 8200. It was assembled by a friend. It's my headphone amplifier. I suggest 3 simple upgrades that put this baby amplifier on the level of amplifiers that cost thousands of dollars. 1) NOS valves 2) Better coupling capacitors 3) Lundhal output transformers The last upgrade was...- Johnscheley

All things Metrum Acoustics
Yes. There were conflicts between processor, motherboard and PCI. It was incompatible with Linux, I couldn't use Roon and HQP simultaneously. The card was only compatible with resolutions of 96Khz. It wasn't Bit Perfect. Although it is an extraordinary machine, I will sell it and stay in PCM and...- Johnscheley

All things Metrum Acoustics
Yesterday I received my Ambre. Fast delivery by DHL and very well packaged. It will pair with my Onix on IS2 connection. Even without burn in the result was fantastic. I used a super computer with a Pink Faun IS2 card. Ambre is superior. Greater background silence, more naturalness...- Johnscheley

At the end of 2020 I bought a Metrum Ambre on their website. But no news about shipping. They don't answer my emails. Did they really come back? I am worried. Anyone with the same problem?- Johnscheley
