Headphones/earphones with a similar sound signature as Sennheiser IE80s
Well, I wen to the store the other day and I'm just as undecided. All the headphones I tried didn't sound like 300 pound headphones. M500s sounded plain dull. Great for multiple genres, but they were really boring. Comfort was 10/10 and audio quality was top notch though, to the point where...- MrRockliffe

Headphones/earphones with a similar sound signature as Sennheiser IE80s
From the looks of reviews, the H-1 don't seem to be far off in terms of acoustic performance to the H-3, so I'll take a look at the cheaper option. I've been looking at the Urbanite XL, and when I go to the headphones store I'll have a look at them to see whether they offer what I'm looking for.- MrRockliffe

Doesn't look as though I can get the FX850 from a reputable dealer here in the UK, which is a shame as they look really good.- MrRockliffe

Headphones/earphones with a similar sound signature as Sennheiser IE80s
Well, I'm mainly looking for a good pair or headphones I can take with me, as I can always get a pair of half decent IEMs for commuting. I've got a Fiio E07K, and I'm assuming it's plenty to power the 650s. I've not used it for ages, and with my motherboard offering support for 600 ohm...- MrRockliffe

Headphones/earphones with a similar sound signature as Sennheiser IE80s
The 598s have been a consideration, but (I know this may sound silly) they're not for me aesthetic wise. My music technology teacher has a pair of them so I'll ask him if I can try them out. I've also booked a demo day at HiFi headphones here in the UK, as it's just around the corner from...- MrRockliffe

Converting music to "instrumental" versions
If you can get the acapella for the track, you can use phase reversal to remove the vocals from the track. Other than that, you'd probably need the stems (source file) so that you can remove it as a track.- MrRockliffe

Headphones/earphones with a similar sound signature as Sennheiser IE80s
I don't mind. Though, if they're on ear/earphones, they've got to be extremely comfortable. I've owned B&W P5s before, and found them really uncomfortable. If they're not comfortable, then they're not good headphones, because I won't be wearing them much. I've just found some M100 on...- MrRockliffe

Headphones/earphones with a similar sound signature as Sennheiser IE80s
I've got a pair of IE80s, but they're going back because they don't fit well at all (I've already tried loads of ear tips). Problem is, since I love the sound of them so much (the BEST sounding headphones I've owned) I've been forcing myself to wear them, and don't really want to send them...- MrRockliffe

Headphones for gaming - which to get?
Budget is 120 pounds MAX. I don't have any more money. Source is either from onboard audio or my Fiio E07K. Open is an option, but cars outside my window are noticeably loud when using the beyers, however I do like the spaciousness of them. Was looking at custom one pros as well, but from...- MrRockliffe

Headphones for gaming - which to get?
As it's coming up to Christmas, I really don't want to have to spend the holiday period without a pair of functioning pair of headphones. Also, the highs of the 990s were a little harsh - are they on the 770s?- MrRockliffe

Sennheiser Momentum or Sony MDR-1R
MDR-1Rs to me: No bass Harsh highs Awful comfort (my ears touch the drivers) Build quality isn't very good, and the jack socket is rubbish. I wouldn't get the momentum either, not for the extra 100.- MrRockliffe

Headphones for gaming - which to get?
I just bought a pair of DT 990s (yesterday) and they arrived today...broken. Left driver rattles (IT'S NOT A HAIR). Kind of expected, as I've broken 2 pairs of Custom One Pros before, and had the drivers fixed as well - and with ease. I'd get a pair of DT 770s, but I'm worried the same thing...- MrRockliffe

Sennheiser HD 6,7 & 8 DJ thread. Opinions, reviews, feedback, pics, discussions, etc.
My HD8 DJs went back. Clamping pressure was immense and didn't soften up, not to mention the lack of padding on the top gave me a constantly bruised head. Also, the squeaking became super annoying, replaced once and the same problem occurred. Had them replaced with a pair of IE80s (which...- MrRockliffe

Yep got new ones, and they still squeak. Sooooo annoying. Had I have known they'd be this bad I wouldn't have bought them; it completely ruins the music. EDIT: I was told that it was a manufacturing defect and that it was sorted but it hasn't been. I've simply not got the money to send them...- MrRockliffe

Sennheiser HD 6,7 & 8 DJ thread. Opinions, reviews, feedback, pics, discussions, etc.
I've had my HD8 DJs since release day in the UK and when I got them they were squeaky - I thought it was because they were new but they've only got squeakier (the hinge on earcups), now to the point where it interferes with the music. Even with the slightest head movement it squeaks. I've tried...- MrRockliffe

My headphones are plain squeaky - I wouldn't call them amazing build quality. They pair very well with a Fiio E07k.- MrRockliffe

Sennheiser HD 6,7 & 8 DJ thread. Opinions, reviews, feedback, pics, discussions, etc.
The HD8s, to my ears are far from dark. If anything, a little too much treble - for me listening to them for long periods of time makes them a little degrading. It can hurt my ears after a few hours, something I've never encountered before from a pair of headphones. At first, I thought I...- MrRockliffe

The HD8 DJ have more bass impact I found personally, and because of that I bought them over the 7s. Plus better build quality (although I have noticed they squeak a lot). Awesome pair of cans and by far the best I've heard under 300 GBP (I enjoy a bassy sound signature with bright, but not...- MrRockliffe

Unofficial V-MODA XL Pads thread.
The HD8 DJ aren't very neutral sounding, but I really enjoy them. I can't comment on which are bassier, but they're definitely bassy - I've got a pair of Custom One Pros, and although they're not as boomy, they reach lower (and clearer doing so) but have a lot more slam when you want it. You can...- MrRockliffe

Help choosing good pair of headphones. 200-350 $ range
I've got a pair of custom one pros that are really fun to listen to, especially as you can adjust the bass on the headphones themselves. They're solid headphones, but if you want something a little more tame, maybe give the Shure SRH 840s a go? I've heard they sound really nice. AKG 545...- MrRockliffe
