    Opening HD650s to remove fur?

My roommates cat clawed at my cans, got her nail stuck in the metal mesh and when freed, left a little clump of fur inside the mesh of my Sennheiser HD650s. I can't grab it with tweasers to remove it, so I'm wondering if there is any way I can open up the cans without damaging the set...

How to order Sennheiser 595s from Montreal, Quebec?

I've tried searching through Google for a few minutes and I can't seem to find a place that sells Sennheiser 595s in Montreal. Anybody from around here that could direct me to a good place? Likewise, I'd also need to order a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter. So, where should I shop?

Getting good sound from a Macbook Pro

I'm looking at buying a Macbook Pro this summer - probably the low end model. A friend recommended that I pick up the HeadRoom Total BitHead for use with my headphones (currently have Shure E4Gs, but will be picking up some cans for home listening). I don't have a ton of cash to spend, so I was...

    Shure E4c: Tip selection advice

Disturbed... hmm, I don't have anything by them. Would Tool do? A Perfect Circle? I mostly have soul, hip hop and R&B albums. There's some rock and metal, but not much.

    Shure E4c: Tip selection advice

I've been trying out a few of the different tips. The small flex sleeves (transparent) seem to form a really nice seal. I'm having trouble with the gray soft flex sleeves though. The smallest ones for some reason seem to be a bit too small, yet the next size feels a bit too big. I'm not sure if...

How long do you guys keep these before replacing them? I've been using them for about two weeks now and they seem to be getting really dirty... They also smell like ear wax. Eww.

    AV-710 Microphone Help

Actually, the static was because the C Media Mixer driver was accidentally installed by Windows XP. I tried to remove it, but I encountered an error during the uninstall. If I test the microphone in the control panel, I am able to hear myself, but he can't hear me over Trillian's AIM network...

    AV-710 Microphone Help

I installed the AV-710 according to the Graphical Guide in these forums, but I can't get it to recognize my microphone when I plug it into the Mic In port on the sound card. It used to work fine before when I was using my motherboard sound card. Can I get some help?

    Changing Shure E4c sleeves?

I just got them in the mail, but I can't really figure out how to change the sleeves. They're so tight and I don't want to break the IEMs. How do you do this properly?

    Chaintech AV-710, IEMs and amps

I heard that the Chaintech AV-710 is not so great without an amp for IEM/can use. Is this true? Will it still sound better than my built in motherboard sound card without an amp? EDIT: Also, newegg no longer has it for sale. Where can I pick one up?

Grado SR60 vs SR80 vs Competition

Grado SR60 vs SR80 vs Competition

What's the difference in sound between the SR-60, 80 and MS1? I think that I've read that the bass on the SR80 is a bit better than the 60, but I haven't read anything at all concerning the MS1.

Grado SR60 vs SR80 vs Competition

Wow, those look ugly. I really don't like the design. I didn't mean that I'm going to use them for gaming. I listen to many game soundtracks which vary from orchestral stuff, to rock, to techno, to jazz, to synth, and everything in between.

I previously posted a topic asking about IEMs and got tons of helpful replies from the experts here. I'm now in the market to get my first set of cans to use with a 30 GB iPod Video and my PC. I'm also possibly going to be getting an Amp and a better sound card. I don't really have that much...
