Streaming DAP with built in equalizer?

Are there any DAPs out at the moment, that have the capability of streaming Amazon Music, but have a built in system equalizer that will work with Amazon Music? I'll be using wired headphones. My alternative was to buy a pair of Sennheiser Momentum wireless headphones and tweak through their...

R5, a new Android DAP by Hiby

Apologies for bringing this up again. Are there any decent third party Play Store equalizer apps, that can be left running in the background and work with Amazon Music HD? I basically want to set up the equalizer settings, then only have to open Amazon Music HD and start streaming music.

R5, a new Android DAP by Hiby

I'm ok with 24 Bit 44.1kHz, but the ability to use the HiBy equalizer with music streaming apps would be most welcome. HiBy, hint hint :o2smile:

R5, a new Android DAP by Hiby

I'm interested in this DAP, purely to stream Amazon Music HD to wired headphones. Skimming through the entire thread, I'm led to believe there is no system level equalizer function. Although I could intall a third party equalizer app from the Play Store, how would this affect the convenience of...

New model Cowon - Plenue D2

Yee-haw, problem solved. Applied the Sony volume hack and now I have much more volume headroom. Volume level stays at the last set position when the device is turned off too, instead of starting at level 50 each time. Might be just me, but the music has opened up a little too. Sorry Cowon...

New model Cowon - Plenue D2

Ok, I suppose I can live with a UI that isn't as easy to use as the Sony's. Another question, which shouldn't cause any forum arguments, is does the Plenue D2 have a higher output than the Sony? The headphones I'm using with the Sony don't seem particularly sensitive, and I'm virtually maxing...

Could someone who has used both the Sony NW-A45 and the Plenue D2, please write a comparison on the UI.

    Sony NW-A40 Series NW-A45/A46/A47

I only use the Sony's Media Centre because it works perfectly with my NW-A45. Haven't had any problem so far with it finding album covers. It just seemed like the logical software to use with Sony products. I notice the difference between FLAC and 192kbps coding, but the Sony WH-1000XM2's are...

    Sony NW-A40 Series NW-A45/A46/A47

Dunno about the Fiio A3, but I used to use a Fiio X3 mk1 with the M40x's and that player had oodles of power for a rich satisfying sound. I loved that combo, but had to go wireless, due to me nearly yanking my head off every time I caught the cable.

    Sony NW-A40 Series NW-A45/A46/A47

Is anyone using a Samsung or Sandisk 256GB Micro SD card in their NW-A40 series? Sony's website mentions they can use up to 2TB. Just need to know if these big memory cards work ok, before spending my hard earned cash on one.

I might be totally wrong, but isn't that a pin hole reset button next to the SD card?

Ref: Sony NW-A45 DAP and Sony WH-1000XM2 headphones. Apologies if this has been covered in a thread or post before, but I skimmed over this thread and couldn't see any mention of my problem. Is there any way of getting the headphones to remember settings changed on the Sony headphone app, or...

    The Fiio X3 Thread.

On my first gen X3, there is a tiny audible click in the headphones, when adjusting the treble or bass through the zero position. Does this indicate it is bypassing the tone controls through a micro relay or something? What I'm trying to say is, is the sound signal path more direct with both...

I'm a bit unsure of what mains charger to use with the X3. Charging from the laptop takes forever.   The Fiio blurb states:   When charging with PC USB: current up to 500mA, charging time about 8hrs. When charging with 1.5A USB adapter, current up to 1,300mA, charging time about 3hrs...

Hi James, I did post earlier reference this, but I fear that due to the speed of the thread, the post got overlooked.   Reference a suitable 64GB Micro SD (SDXC) Card for this player. Does it matter what read speed the card has? Some cards read at 30MB/s and go up to 95MB/s. Is a 30MB/s card...
