If you go for IEM's the Klipsch s4's are a good buy for around that price range. They're what I usually listen to on the go.

The only decent headphones in that range is the koss ksc75's. They aren't the best looking but have some pretty good reviews in terms of sound and comfort.

Mainly cheap apple/phillips/jvc earbuds here. Although the closest I got to seeing a potential audiophile was someone walking around campus listening to a pair of m50s

Alright well I decided to go with the DT 990 premium 32 ohm. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

They're just above my 200 dollar budget by around 20 bucks. I'm leaning toward the dt990 premiums as they offer a 32 ohm version for that price considering I don't have an amp of any sort.

I got the chance to look around a bit more and now the beyerdynamic dt 770(80ohm) and dt 990 premium (32ohm) have caught my attention. For EDM, rock, and classical, how do you guy's think those would compare to the ad900x or a900x?

I looked into the HD598's a while back and their great soundstage was the main attraction. But most of the reviews I've seen on it said it was a bit too lacking in bass (I'd still like for there to be some impact) so I strayed away.

How do you think the A900X holds up against the well kown ATH M50s? And for the Q701 and K550, just how bass light are they? Because I've heard a lot of  mixed reviews on whether or not it was lacking or balanced.
