I can imagine, i have read so many reviews on here just over the 2 headphones I am deciding on, and I'm at the point, where even without listening to them i am considering just pulling the trigger on a pair of the ATH's. though I'm sure by the morning that will change

    Which ones? ATH-MSR7, MDR-1A, K550? £150 range

You're right, I think it's going to be between the MDR-1A and ATH-MSR7. I just wish I could find somewhere to try out the ATHs, I've heard the Sony and they are good also currently £120 vs £150 for the ATH, though the ATH comes with extra cables which I could definitely find handy.... I do...

The sound coming from these headphones when connected to this music source just does not sound right! It really sounds weird. I know the Sony headphones that the player came with have a 4...

Quote:   I can increase my budget to around £60, for that price would the Koss Pro DJ100 (£50) or the Sony MDR-V6 be good options? (also considered the koss pro dj200 as they have the detachable cable) I shall be playing the music through my computer and through a Sony NWZ-A845 when...

Is it possible to semi-build better headphones than buy for under £50?

Quote:   I'm not so much worried about the actual modding itself, I'm no stranger to tools or soldering irons. I do however have no clue as to anything sound related.   Also, i am one of those people that would much rather make something than buy it, I just like making things and...

Is it possible to semi-build better headphones than buy for under £50?

I think the nature of this question shows that i am not an audiophile and really don't have the funds to indulge in it nor do I have much experience in this area, hence please be patient with me if this seems like a completely stupid question.   However, I did have a pair of Bose AE2s which...
