Need A Pair of Open-cans for around $170-$200

As much as I would like portable cans i do not really need a pair. I have Ostray KC06As for that purpose. All I need is a gaming headset, I have a mic (ATR 2500), so i am afraid I will not be using the in-line mic. I have heard that the X1s are overall better than the l1s. Not quite sure if that...

Need A Pair of Open-cans for around $170-$200

It is all good. i am glad to hear that they do. It is all good the more I know they more I can make an educated decision. I think I am going to go with the X1s in this case. Thank you for all your help on the matter.

Need A Pair of Open-cans for around $170-$200

Sounds like the X1 would be more suited for my tastes in music. That is unless the HP-200s would have the bass presents of the X1s. I can stand treble, just I would like some nice bass to help my EDM music out. If the HP-200s don't have that bass punch then I believe I will go with the X1s and...

Need A Pair of Open-cans for around $170-$200

So would you say that the X1 and the HP-200s would be more on my radar than the others? If they are comparable would it be safe to go with the soundmagics since I already own the HP-150s, or is the sound significantly more sibilant than the HP150s? At this point I am leaning more towards the X1s...

Need A Pair of Open-cans for around $170-$200

Does anyone have any experience with either the HD 598s or the Philips Fidelio x1? I have the chance to pick them both up within 20 dollars of each other, the HD 598s being the cheaper of the two. Also are the others able to compare to these, really intrigued by the HP-200s.

Need A Pair of Open-cans for around $170-$200

As much as i would love the Schiit stack, it would set me back quite a bit. The most I could do at the moment would be to buy the headphones and maybe one of the stack. I might just have to wait. I would really like a pair now, maybe I can get a good pair of headphones now then upgrade my...

Need A Pair of Open-cans for around $170-$200

Ah I see. I might have thrown you off with my preference to music. I do enjoy some bass, but I do have a pair of HP-150s that satisfies that to a degree. I do not need heavy bass, just do not want it to be completely out of the picture. I will be listening to mostly rock and EDM, but I will be...

Need A Pair of Open-cans for around $170-$200

I am in the hunt for a good pair of open-back pair of headphones for under $200 (preferably less). I am really picky when it comes to sound stage, and that speaks to my first purchase the SoundMagic HP-150. I was wanting something close to them but with more treble presence and better sound...

IEM that is close to HP150 sound and portable DAC/AMP recommendation

I went ahead and bought the KC06As and tried them out. I am glad to say that I will be keeping them. While they do not sound like the Soundmagic HP150s, they do have a fun sounding signature. They have more treble that gets just a little harsh at times, and I feel like they have more bass...

IEM that is close to HP150 sound and portable DAC/AMP recommendation

Hey guys, I am looking for some IEMs that will synergizes well with my HP150 headphones as well as a portable DAC/AMP to use with both the new IEMs and HP150s. I would like to spend around 130 USD but can stretch to 150 USD all together if it is worth the extra money. Currently the only retailer...

New release - the AKG K553 Pro - featuring a killer Massdrop deal

I owned a couple pairs of sound magic IEMs in the past. Needless to say they both died on me within a few months of normal house use. I read a couple reviews on the HP 150s and they said the soundstage is acceptable and the bass is good. I just want to know if these have good bass and good...

New release - the AKG K553 Pro - featuring a killer Massdrop deal

I was considering picking a pair on massdrop now that they are available. I also have a deal for a used pair of SoundMagic HP150 for around 140 USD (vs 120 USD for the AKGs), would those be a better deal?

Need headphone with good bass/soundstage.... Closed back?

Bump   Just want to know if anyone has a better pair for me than the DT770 Pro, they are on amazon now for under 200 so I think I will pick them up soon unless there is something that would suit my taste more. Also, what would be a good AMP to drive the DT770 250Ohm versions, I was thinking...

    OnePlus One

Hey guys I would hate to bring back an oldish thread but I have had the exact opposite experience with my OPO. The on board realtek audio is even better than the OPO'headphone jack. I was wondering if you guys did anything different? Because the AudioFX app (maxxaudio is what is powering it)...

Question about portable amp/DAC for android

So I have been scouring the forums here and I have learned of the process to hook up a portable amp/DAC to the micro USB in my OnePlus One. However with the program people have been saying to buy, it doesn't seem to support Spotify. I just took a step into the audiophile screen with the...

    Over-The-Ear Headphones under $200??

Thanks for the advice! I did end up choosing a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 I found for $167. I thought that they would suit my need for sub bass a little more than the ATH M50x would

Need help choosing a pair of inexpensive over-ear headphones, mostly for electronic music

No problem ;) Also you might give the ATH m30x a look. If you can stretch your budget just 16 dollars then I would absolutely recommend the UE 6000 for $96 on amazon.

Need help choosing a pair of inexpensive over-ear headphones, mostly for electronic music

AKG K 240 are $78 on amazon. An absolute steal at the price. They should suit electronic music pretty well if you are alright with allowing some noise in and out because they are semi-open headphones.

    Over-The-Ear Headphones under $200??

I have also heard a lot of good things about Ultrasone HFI-580 and their subwoofer like bass. Many placed them higher on their list over the ATH M 50. Has anyone tried these out?

    Over-The-Ear Headphones under $200??

Thanks for the info! Sounds like these headphones are more fun then they sound! And they look better than the ATH M50x in my opinion. Is the sound over all better?
