Short story is: I tried and failed. Questions to iBasso did not get answered so I'm basically stuck.- Davy Wentzler

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
CPU power is not an issue nowadays. We could look into using the Toneboosters EQ V4, but it is perhaps even less suited for portrait usage.- Davy Wentzler

They sent me a DX300, so log files wouldn't help since I already have the device and can create my own.- Davy Wentzler

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
If you send the log file I can perhaps tell more. Audio data really doesn't take a lot of bandwidth. 192kHz@24-bit is 1.1MB/sec PCM. With FLAC that would be half, so you only need a consistent 0.6MB/sec connection. Now that is raw data, so with overhead and the data coming in in chunks, a...- Davy Wentzler

I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier. The beta version and some personal stuff is taking up my time. I have sent a reply now, but it's basically the network speed being too slow or interrupted by Android battery 'optimisation'.- Davy Wentzler

FiiO M11Pro | Dual AK4497 | THX AAA 78 Headpone Amp | 5.15" 18:9 720P | Exynos 7872 | 3G Ram+64G Rom |
To FiiO: the M11 and M11 PRO send a ACTION_AUDIO_BECOMING_NOISY event after 2 minutes of playback for no reason when playing in UAPP using a USB DAC (and our custom USB audio driver). We have made a work-around for next release by ignoring this event for the FiiO M series, but this event...- Davy Wentzler

FiiO M15 Audio Player | Dual AK4499EQ | 7490 mAh Battery | 64 GB ROM | $1299.99
In defense of FiiO, I just want to add that implementing MQA decoding and rendering in the Android audio system for system-wide (all app) use is a complex thing. Audio needs to be passed in bit-perfect, otherwise the MQA decoder cannot work. This means that no other audio like system sounds may...- Davy Wentzler

FiiO M11Pro | Dual AK4497 | THX AAA 78 Headpone Amp | 5.15" 18:9 720P | Exynos 7872 | 3G Ram+64G Rom |
To FiiO: Since we have managed today to get HiRes mode and DSD mode working with USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP) on the FiiO M11 PRO, people are asking why they cannot download our app from the Play Store on the FiiO M using your recent update. The problem is that USB Audio Player PRO requires USB...- Davy Wentzler

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
They do not show a Hires mode in the config and seem to use the offload mode exclusively, meaning it just passes the file name to the internals of the audio system where it gets decoded and played. There would be no quality difference in doing this (since UAPP would just pass the same file names).- Davy Wentzler

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
I have just added HiRes support for the M11 PRO including DSD. MQA decoding and rendering is likely being done inside the FiiO Music app, so you will 'only' get MQA decoding with UAPP when you have done the MQA in-app purchase. If you like to test this version on the M11, M11 PRO or M15, please...- Davy Wentzler

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
I just bought a M11 PRO (which should be similar), but cannot get the sample rate to switch. I have sent FiiO an email, but haven't received a reply. Until that time there is no point having UAPP on it.- Davy Wentzler

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
Seems like LG has killed DSD/DoP playback on Android 10. The official LG Music app plays at 88200Hz in floating point mode (format 0x5). To check if LG didn't abuse format 5 for DoP, I checked the logcat and there is no sample rate change between playing DSD64 and DSD128. Can anyone confirm what...- Davy Wentzler

There is no relation between the database and being online or not. UAPP also never erases the database by itself, so I'm not sure what is going on there.- Davy Wentzler
