I want to contact a Fiio representative. Have you personally managed to certify the M11 / M11Pro / M15? Or is this method not yet verified?

See especially the yellow box ...

If the ID number of my device was in the white list, then UAPP would be available for purchase on the Play Market, but this is not so. In this case, registering the ID number does not give anything, the UAPP application is still not available for purchase, which means that the device is still not certified.

I am impressed with Fiio. Its life a return to normalcy, all my paid apps are now available. Google play music works 100% - I subscribe to youtube and it throw in google music for free. I can now unsubscribed Spotify and other apps. I also bought the poweramp via google play so I can get uninteruppted updates automatically instead of installing from APK from website.

A big win today. Headfi should announce this on front page.

To FiiO:

Since we have managed today to get HiRes mode and DSD mode working with USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP) on the FiiO M11 PRO, people are asking why they cannot download our app from the Play Store on the FiiO M using your recent update. The problem is that USB Audio Player PRO requires USB host mode to be active on the Android device, otherwise the Play Store will say it is incompatible. Now since the FiiO M11 support USB host mode, there is a misconfiguration. Can you please solve this?

The details are somehow like described on this page:
https://github.com/452/USBHIDTerminal/wiki/How-to-enable-USB-host-API-support

Basically it's just adding a host XML file. Since it requires root permission, users cannot do this themselves.

Dear @FiiO,

Today I switched from single-ended 3.5mm to balanced 4.4mm output on my F11 PRO.. And I suddenly noticed an imbalance between left and right channel. Signal now appears to lean slightly more to the left channel. Switching back to single-ended corrects the balance again. Any clue why this happens?

What did you use for the balanced cable? what your describing sounds like when you try using single ended in balanced i.e. negative left and negative right shorted instead of seperated.

It's custom made cable, a bit similar to Forza Claire with 4.4mm balanced pentaconn plug. Afaik both grounds are separate and were tested...

@FiiO @JamesFiiO

Update: I now have 3 cables and 2 headphones to test. A 3.5mm single-ended, a 2.5mm balanced and a 4.4mm balanced ..It almost seems that only the 4.4mm balanced output suffers from having a slightly lower volume on the right channel. Could this be the cable? Of Or do I have a defective M11 PRO? Are the 2.5mm and 4.4mm outputs connected to the same output circuitry? Or do the 2.5mm and 4.4mm outputs run on separate circuitry?

Hello,

The 2.5 and 4.4 balanced ports of the M11 are parallel, so theoretically there is no difference in sound. Do you have another 4.4mm headphone for check? If the issue still remains, it may be a hardware issue with the 4.4mm port.

Best regards
