    Equinox-recabled K701 impressions

Thank you for the updated impressions. So many cable options for the K701, that it's hard to decide which to choose.

Seriously, I have a mini-mini from RnB that it would be interesting to compare to another.

New Ipods on September the 5th!!

I've given up trying to fit all my music onto a portable player (my H120 serves me just fine). Until they announce the 1TB iPod (which still would not hold half of my lossless), I'm satisfied.

    Klipsch IMAGE In-Ear Earphones

I participated in a focus group earlier this year in which I tested these phones. I'll just say that the Shure E500 beat their top-of-the-line model handily, in both sound and comfort. I didn't care for the cords too much. They're like those on the Super/TripleFi line, where they bend.

Not everyone is universal in praise of UE-11...

Seems like Horwitz was positive in his initial impressions (edited original post to include it).

Not everyone is universal in praise of UE-11...

Even still, I'd probably take the UE-10 over the E500, mainly because of them being customs.

Not everyone is universal in praise of UE-11...

I think it's more than the "iLounge iPod" crowd, considering I'm not even a member of iLounge and am a iRiver person (even though I own an iPod). For me, at least, his reviews were influential in me purchasing the E500 and the AKG K701. I see from his reviews that our preferred sound...

Not everyone is universal in praise of UE-11...

He never stated his testing methods. Specifically, no one know if he uses mp3s or lossless (my guess is the latter). And although he said he tested it with his iPod, it doesn't mean that's the only thing with which he's tested.

Not everyone is universal in praise of UE-11...

Why don't you think the review has weight? I've always appreciated his careful attention and thoroughness analysis in his review of musical equipment.

Not everyone is universal in praise of UE-11...

Just read this review from iLounge (it's interesting how some points contrast with Jude's review, particularly in their expectations of the final product): http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipo...-ear-monitors/ These were his initial impressions of the beta product: Secrets—especially...

And in the end...The Beatles are why audiophilia exists?

I think you're ignoring another genre that preceded rock and the Beatles--Jazz. If there was any music that paid attention to recording the music well, it's jazz. So, I don't think the Beatles' music were the first that or primarily introduced audiophilia in the mainstream, the description...

Ten thumbs up for Jeanette Coffey, and the crew at UE!

I agree. I've received outstanding customer service from Jeanette. Good customer service is sometimes so hard to find, that's why when I get it I cherish it, and make sure to make note of it. Shure has equally good customer service.
