The hd700 is significantly more sensitive than the hd600/650. The px100 is a portable and that was doomed from the start.

It's fine for me as my hd650 is insensitive enough to make the noise go below my hearing threshold. Using any other of my headphones the noise is making the amp unusable. Cranking the amp high won't help in any way with to your issue. Which headphones are you using?

The noise floor is the same regardless of volume on my unit. Using a dac w/ volume control won't really help with that issue. I use the volume control one computer to avoid touching it and triggering the microphonics.

The brainwavz b2 is currently 55 gbp on amazon UK. By far the best for the money at that price, and joker's ranking is the same as the DBA mkii.

There are extension cables that add it on but you'll end up with a really long cable with the mic in the wrong place. Truly - if you want the mic, buy the HF versions

They should all provide sound from all devices (there are of course exceptions, but Samsung should be fine). The pin mapping on the trrs jack is the same. It's the button trigger functionality on that differs

You should just avoid the -3 versions that are made for Apple stuff. The -2 versions are for android.

The replaceable cables are to use when you need to replace the cable. It usually breaks before the actual iem. If you ask this, you need to read up a lot more before you spend this kind of money. The tips are exactly the same for the HF and er4 series. Might be more in the original pack but...

Hf5/2/3 is the same headphone, with different mic/remote configurations. The mc5/2/3 is a lower end model and the er4 versions are the reference grade models (especially the er4s version) with replaceable cables. Then cables are decent, but will give up eventually. In my case after a few years...

My experience, buy a logitech ue900 cable, it's 20 bucks. Then ship it off to someone who is ok with retermination of the IEM connectors. Total like 40-50 bucks. I had no issue finding someone willing to do the termination in Europe at least.
