I personally love these headphones, but I personally thought there needed to be a tad more sparkle in the trebles. I also thought the bass could have been a bit faster. I guess you would have to sacrifice mid range sound quality to get that though.

The change in quality for these two isn't really in the type of input, but in the type of cable. Good cables = good sound quality. Bad cables = bad sound quality

To be honest, I wouldn't choose a 7.1 headphone. It is just virtual surround sound, not the real deal. For gaming, go with the Astro A40s if you want to hear enemy footsteps in first person shooters. If you just want good overall sound quality, go with a headphone that has good sound stage. 

I would choose the Wii U. A ps4 is not very 6 year old user friendly and is a bit complicated to get around the menus. The Wii U has a big screen on the controller which I think he would find very fun. Also, many more Wii U games are centered around the younger audience. Sony likes to advertise...

I would go with the hp 50

I've herd good things about this headphone, possibly being even better than the Sennheiser momentum over-ears. Definitly looking forward to trying these out. 

I love these for $35 with a 3 year warranty, but my biggest gripe is the highs. Cymbals just sound like tin cans being clanked together. The bass is decently fast and has decent extension. Would recommend for a cheap alternative to earbuds that come with phones and mp3 players. 

Cheaper, squared cable, straight jack instead of the 90 degree one, slightly less-shiny case, 3 button remote.

The x10/x11 are a fun, portable headphone to listen to for their size. Would I pay msrp for them? Probably not. They have no real amazing aspect to them, but they do many things well.

Couple questions: When you play through the main song list, is there a shuffle option, is it automatically shuffled, or is there no shuffle? Also, can I put a playlist on? 

I am on the go alot, but I like to listen to high quality music. Which one of these is better sounding from just running it off of an iPod? Which one is more comfortable? Is there a better alternative? I can get both of these for $200, so price isn't an issue.
