I think if you are looking to change your sound to something more warm, I would do as others have suggested and just buy different headphones.  I have the LD MKIII with he400s and the senn hd650s.  The LD MKIII purchase was mostly from suggestion from PurpleAngel and I am very happy with it. ...

I did not realize, but Guitar Center in Houston has some alright cans that they will let you try out.  Beyerdynamics Dt770s and Dt880s.  Shure 840s and 940s.  AKG Q701s.  Also they match online prices in case anyone is interested.  Wish there were more shops with hi-end headphones.

I use the Little Dot MK III with HE400s and HD650s.  It seems to work well with both.  Cost is around 200 also.
