I hope it sounds good, because the way it is now, the design is kinda ugly, especially when worn and it look too much like a PC headset. For $800, the design has to match the sound. Assuming it sounds good.

Acutally, the A35 does not have aptX, the new A40 does, but not the A35, and yes, the Pioneer sound better imo.

I picked up a used EL8 for $200... Love the sound but the crackling noise and the fact that the headphone seem to go quiet on its side every time I tilt my head made me return it. Would had loved to keep it, the sound and build was awesome.

Maybe the XDP-300R since it's running android OS, but I don't have that dap so I can't say for sure.
