    Sony WF-1000XM4 Impressions Thread

My wf1000xm4 is also effected by the battery drain issues (right earbud always died first), mine comes with 1.4.2 and it's 14 months old. Last night I tried to playing with them with their headphone connect, first thing I do is swap the touch sensor settings, now the left earbud is for playback...

    Sony WF-1000XM4 Impressions Thread

It’s a glitch, mine sometimes does that, I just put the earbud (right or left with the one that shows 0% batteries on the app) back to it’s case close the lid and wait couple of seconds than it fixes the problem.

is there any way to downgrade the firmware?, the sound quality is worse on 1.3.3, metallic trebles, less rumble on the sub bass, and not to mention the bass texture is awful now.

    Sony WF-1000XM4 Impressions Thread

It seems that Sony change the frequency response on 1.3.3 update, they seem to raised the upper mids and dropping the sub bass down, I'm now getting thinner body on the trebles (metallic sound just like the XM3) with the foam tips which usually not, I have to drop a couple DBs on the EQ. I don't...

The Sony Experia is great in terms of sound quality, but if you adore Sabres sound signature then Rog phone 5 is your best bet.

Wow, you still have a great hearing! My pleasure!. You should try LDAC at it's highest settings with that EQ if you have an Android device, it would make the Sony sounded even better.

    Sony WF-1000XM4 Impressions Thread

My pleasure!. You should try the Crystal if you don't mind with the more intimate soundstage or you could stick with the foam ones, but you are going to replace them every 3-4 months (depending on the usage), one more thing the foam tips have better timbres on the upper frequencies compared to...

Nuarl Snapdragon sound (X77) VS Nuarl LDAC (X47), this should be interesting.

Just throw away those paper, cause those are for shipping and storing only so that the XM4 doesn't run out of juice when they arrived at your doorstep.

    Sony WF-1000XM4 Impressions Thread

Both Azla Crystal and the Sony foam have a warmer sound compare to other tips, but the Sony ones have wider soundstage, better depth, and the bass digs deeper with better textures. Unfortunately the Sony foam is very uncomfortable (it's get itchy very quickly), soo they are the last option for...

Final type E for TWS (no EQ) : adding a little bit of trebles, also adding a little bit of quantity on the bass, but I don't like the timbres, too metallic on them trebles. They are definitely comfy though. Azla Sedna Crystal (no EQ) : the sound is getting too warm for my taste with mids...

Yes it does work, but the DSEE doesn't work if you choose LDAC @990.

Add Nuarl N6 Pro 2nd edition, or Nuarl N10 Plus, or Aviots (their dynamic driver series). They all doesn't have the greatest apps or battery life or ANC and Ambient mode, but surely they sound really good.

The doctor said to be careful with the Xelastec, don't use them again if I start to see cracks, he also said that the concept behind Xelastec is great but the execution is lacking due to it's durability. My phone are keeping stable Bluetooth connection at LDAC's max settings as long as I don't...

Yes I clean them and all my tips regularly with baby wipes (non alcohol), it seems that the Xelastec can handle my 5-6 hours of daily use (it's 111 miles between my house and the office), but that doesn't stop me from buying another Sendas :D Ikr, thankfully the doctor can pulled it out I...

I just use them normally with my XM4, then I see cracks on parts between the nozzle and the umbrella inside the tips within couple of months of use, and one day the nozzle and the umbrella detached themselves leaving the umbrella parts inside my ear, it is a scary experience cause Xelastec is...
