It kills me to say this ... but the iPod has the best sound quality

I had a much more pleasing experience listening to music on the Zune than on the iPod (exact same library and quality of music). I found a big difference between the bass output from the Zune and iPod in that the iPod tended to sound less clear, and turning on the EQ would make it sound muddy...

    Best affordable in- ear headphones

x2 for the C551's. The bass is extremely well-controlled. I'm still burning mine in and can only wonder how well it sounds after that. The Denon's seem to be crawling higher in price. They're around $68 on Amazon now.

Comfort is most important to me.

I had the Vibes and can tell you they got pretty painful after about an hour and a half of listening. I used the small buds, too. The build quality is also not that great. It looks nice and all, but after my third pair crapped out on me, I gave up. The insulation has detached itself from...

V-moda Vibes... The review is finished. (56k beware, big pics...)

Argh, well I had a great three months with my Vibes. I think the metal 3.5mm jack is the culprit. Sound doesn't come out until I hold the wire against the MP3 player at a certain length, and even so, no music comes from the left ear. I'm hoping the warranty will cover this and I can come back to...

    The Zune: A review.

My Zune does the same thing. If I place it in my jean pocket without a case, the static electricity builds up and I start hearing the popping noises in my earphones til' the Zune eventually shuts off. I'm on Hardware 2.0 as well, (You can find this info in the 'about' section in the Zune.

Zune owners: a couple of questions

The d-pad on the Zune scratches extremely easy. I'd say it's as easy as scratching the faceplate of an iPod. Just about the rest of the Zune is pretty much scratchproof, though.

    Got a ZUNE

Works just fine with an unvalidated version of XP. I set everything up before I got my Zune, so all I had to do was plug in my Zune and let it sync over my music. Everything went smoothly.

    Mp3 Player with Album Art...

not to forget to mention the Archos Gmini 400(CF slot)/402(usb host instead of CF)/402cc(USB host & 1.3mp cam instead of usb host). But it doesn't display it full screen, which I wish they would add. I hear iPods do that and I think it's pretty cool.
