The AKG Infomation Thread
Where to begin really. The mids and highs are much more detailed and resonant then my DT990s (Which i consider a very good set of cans anyway). Bass isnt as good as my DT990s, but is much cleaner and more detailed - I prefer my Beyers for House Music and pop/RNB, but these AKG's are just...- -ToM-

Feedback on Headphone Purchase
Im going to go against the grain here and say Sennheiser HD 280 pro. The sound isolation is incredible - something like 32db of isolation if i remember correctly. The phones tilt and swivel - good for 1 ear listening or packing the phones up tight. They are primarily a DJ phone, so the sounds...- -ToM-

Need closed, over-ear headphones. Advice?
Loving my new AKG K550s for a state of trance! Just the right amount of bass, so not to overwhelm the mids and highs- -ToM-

D2000 or D5000 - Which one
What about the AKG K550 for $399? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYQ_PPvD9Bk They appear to fill my initial requirement - Sealed closed back, good bass, Good over ear coverage, easy to drive. Plus there is added benefits of being a single sided cable and able to fold away. ...- -ToM-

S4 to IEM?
They are a nice set of phones, but the ear buds are kind of uncomfortable. There is also the thought that i may be missing a lot of detail/sound experience with a $100 pair of headphones compared to say a $300 set of dual drivers- -ToM-

S4 to IEM?
Hey guys. My portable rig currently consists of: Galaxy Nexus => Fiio E6 => Klipsch Image S4 I just wondering if anyone thinks its worth getting a sub $300 AUD set of IEM's. The 2 im looking at are the Shure SE425's or Westone UM2's. Regards- -ToM-
