    My cat ate my SR325's!

Luckily, my cat doesn't go anywhere near my room and my gear, but sucks for you man. At least the problem's fixable.

    Comparing the XD200 and HD201

I started a thread like this a while back, but here it is: http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=121655

    Amping my PortaPros

This might be kind of a stupid question, but I have a pair of PortaPro2's (aka PortaPro Jr., PortaPro without pressure adjustment) and I was considering pairing them with a PA2V2. I've heard again and again about the wonders an amp does for the KSC75, and taking into consideration they use the...

    MDR-XD200 vs HD201

http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=121655 Personally speaking, I don't think 128Kbps MP3s are even of relatively decent listening quality, so you'll find you might not enjoy any decent pair of headphones with that quality of music. Just my two cents...

    Labtec Elite 840/Creative HQ-1300

Just got mine in the mail yesterday. Here are some out of the box impressions. - The velour-like padding is real comfortable. Sometimes I forget that I'm wearing them! (Oh yeah, they're pretty light too.) - Tried them first with the new Common Be CD. (Rap) Bass isn't as prominent as my...

    best cheap headphones

Just got myself a pair of Koss PortaPro2's (PortaPros sans the pressure adjustment) and I'm amazed at the sound. I would definitely recommend this. I also just ordered a pair of Labtec Elite 840s/Creative HQ-1300s. I can't wait to see how they sound.

Gonna get Koss ksc-50s and panasonic rp-hje50s

I would actually recommend against the HJE50s compared to the HD201. I had a pair of HJE50 and while the clarity and midrange was good, the bass was lacking, harsh treble, and subpar isolation. The HD201 has a much better all around sound and is small and light enough for portable use.

Panasonic RP-HJE50 Ety mod, anyone tried it?

This actually sounds like a sweet mod. I assume the isolation is improved, but how's the overall sound quality, Bolt?

    XD200 or HD201?

Oh, oops. Well in that case, I'm not so sure I want closed headphones. The cheap-fier in me wants headphones now, but I'm wondering if I should save up and get SR60s.

    XD200 or HD201?

    XD200 or HD201?

I'm looking for a nice pair of budget closed headphones for both portable and computer use. Portability itself isn't that much of an issue to me--I wanted a full-size pair of cans to go with the HJE50 canalphones that I just bought. Buy.com has the XD200s at $20, and the HD201 is the same price...
