Looking for a headphone with sennheiser smoothness but more bass
I have a budget of about $300 +/- 50 bucks and I'm looking for a smooth sounding headphone with a lot of viceral bass. It doesn't have to hit the very low notes since I plan on using it on the go. Other than the DT770, are there any headphones with such a signature? I tried the HD650 but I...- IEATTEFLON

question about ac adapters and low powered amps
Is it ok to splice my ac adapter and use it to power 2 different amps at once? Would adding a diode of some kind to each splice help me accomplish this? I have too many cables and wires near my desk and I dont have anymore outlets left.- IEATTEFLON

Where do returned amplifiers go?
I noticed that a lot of makers have a generous return policy. With all the talk about amp burn-in what do they do with returned amps? Is it resold as new? Do they sell a B-stock with returns?- IEATTEFLON

I dont like the pint
I recently got to borrow 2 different mini3fied pints to pick which I liked better. One had lm6172 in both places and the other had ad8620 for both opamps. The sound was very thick and syrupy and I felt that it lost bass impact and treble extension. It almost sounded as if a veil was put over my...- IEATTEFLON

govibe5 vs pimeta?
I was wondering if anyone that has heard both can compare the basic sound of these amps. Still deciding on a new portable amp but only thing stopping me is the generic appearance of the govibe where as my pimeta can be put into any enclosure.- IEATTEFLON

Changing output caps on AV-710
I noticed lately that the high quality output sound from my av710 was a bit veiled. The elec's that are there right now are 10uf 16v caps. Would it be worth it to replace them with film caps? I searched and noticed some people removed the caps and jumpered the resistors altogether. I don't...- IEATTEFLON

What is the HD201's driver size?
I recently bought a pair and they sound mediocre at best. When I equalize it to my liking or use it at a higher volume it distorts a lot. This leads me to believe that the drivers are the generic 27mm ones that is overused in sony cheapies. I've seen aiwa, panasonic and audiotechnica use the...- IEATTEFLON

Where can I find a good teflon wire stripper?
I've searched a bit and I kept getting mixed results from each individual. Whats a relatively inexpensive ($50-100?) wire stripper that can easily and cleanly strip 24-26 guage teflon wire? I tried 2 of the recommended types and all it did was stretch out the teflon or nick a few strands of the...- IEATTEFLON

Need phones with tight clamping force
I have pretty big ears and loose fitting cans are uncomfortable. What I need is a phone with comparable sound to sennheiser hd600 with a visegrip feel to them. Even my hd600s arent tight enough.- IEATTEFLON
