my dx100 is a dream with the UE18pro's in MY opinion, after testing this both with the Fostex HP-P1. truly a fantastic machine

hey mate :) great write up from down here in Australia, like u i've just ordered the dx100 and had a pair of shure se530's. The shure's were good and they were waterproof too!!! i left them in the rain one day and drove over it with my car after i found them on the grass and they still work...

could this be similar to the fostex hp1 but runs off devices other than iDevices???? =]

i wanted to know because i wanted to move away from the iDevice reliance from these dacs/amps. Wanted the flexability of swapping to a different player for eg the new sony z1000 mp3 player coming out in dec. Be pretty pointless to invest in a P1 and only have it as an amp.   U mentioned...

Guys i heard one in the shops a couple of days ago, but one question just to re-confirm this. The DAC on this, is only applicable if its connected to an iDevice am i correct? which ultimately means i can't even use this as a desktop dac/amp when i connnect a usb into it from my comp, which makes...

yeh the net mds came out around during the time the mze10 came out, since it was a player only back then i had to record all the minidiscs in realtime before the netmds came out. Good thing about the minidiscs back then was i believe they had opt out, i'm almost sure the sony one i had before...

love the minidisc era...still use my mze10 on a daily basis, however i do admit that although just a player it still lacks quality over some of the sharp netmd's i've got. =[
