I had my HD600 for over a year now, probably giving them 4-5 ours of love everyday... My pads is quite flat now, 1-2 centimeters, and my wonders go to if it changes the sound sig much if i get new pads. 

Your setup should be quite bright to get the HD600 sibilant... I mean, even with my worst recordings, that was a plain torture to lissen with the DT990s, my HD600 doesnt sound to sharp. And that is with my SS-amp and a HRT-musical-streamer DAC that is quite neutral sounding, nor warm or cold. 

I really want to try the crack amp. Cause I run my 600s with M1 HPA amp.. And it does a excellent job with the HD600.  With my M1 HPA + HRT music streamer II+ the HD600 feels pretty damn neutral and fast, not laidback at all.  And it definitely sounds right.   I want to recommend the M1 HPA...

Hi guys. Last day I was to the hifi-store because my HD600-cable had broken.. But in the store they said they only had HD650-cables, and I told them I not wanted to change the sound in any way..  Then they said that HD650-cable is better in any way, so i bought it,  But now I sit here...

I didnt know that HD600 was knowed for having more bass presence and bigger soundstage than the HD650. Isnt it the other way round ?  And the HD650 has definitley more midbass thump than HD600, your HD650 just may have some HD600 drivers in it ? Haha just kidding.

There is no Veil.  Its just the laidback presentation of the HD650. You can call it veil if you want, but its not like it have some "veil"-defect. I would never suggest HD650 before HD600 to a person who seeks a allrounder though. HD650 can be pretty boring after a while, the HD600 sounds...

In my experience, people who seeks rumbling bass and sparkling treble is confused about the idea of good sound. They have never heard a smooth liquid and powerful midrange, so they dont really know what a good midrange can do to the music.
