Thanks for the info.     I should mention I'm leaning towards the TDK BA200 now after reading some comparisons sayings it's warmer and less sibilant than the R-50.

How is the soundstage on the M50s, though? I'd be willing to put up with average soundstage (where I can still hear directionally) to be able to use the headphones for studying at school.
